This house exceeded our expectations. Very well set up perfectly with everything we could possible need.
The location is great for our adventures and easy to get to.
This home is a fabulous spot for a cozy winter’s stay. We enjoyed using the hot tub after our skiing adventures at Hatcher Pass and Kincaid park. The large dining room table was great for family game time during the long dark eveningsdark evenings
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, peaceful, and cozy home by the creek! The attention to detail was excellent, and the welcome snacks and beverages were such a thoughtful touch after a long day of travel. Everything we needed was provided, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. It was the perfect spot to end our trip—close to the airport and an easy drive to our unforgettable helicopter tour to the glaciers. Thank you Taylor & NaMee for sharing your lovely home—we truly enjoyed every moment! We highly recommend staying here if you’re coming to Anchorage!
Nice cozy home with plenty of room for five of us to spread out. Stream and walking path in back yard were a plus

About the host
Hosted by Taylor Horne
As your hosts, Taylor and NaMee, we love living in Alaska and enjoying everything this great state has to offer. Anchorage has a great mix of "big city" amenities - like awesome cuisine and an excellent trail system - and proximity to real wild Alaska, whether that's Hatcher Pass and Denali National Park to the north or Turnagain Arm and the Kenai Peninsula to the south!
Why they chose this property
The Spenard / North Star neighborhood is the coolest in Anchorage. We are close to downtown for the food and entertainment, and super close to the Coastal Trail for walking, biking, or nordic skiing. Anchorage has a bunch of hidden gems in these "pocket" neighborhoods and we are located in one for sure!
What makes this property unique
Location! The creek is in the back yard, with the Chester Creek trail just across and bordering Valley of the Moon park. You don't feel like you "in the city" when you are here, so you can enjoy a long relaxing soak in the hot tub while enjoying the scenery, or relax in the living room and look through the large windows. We have taken care to tastefully decorate our home with contemporary Alaskan art and also appoint it with all the amenities you'll need for your stay. Hopefully you'll agree that our house is a haven of rest and relaxation in the heart of Anchorage.
