Come stay in our cozy, peaceful studio condo and experience the great outdoors of Mammoth Lakes! Our downstairs unit has comfy seating, and sleeps up to 4 with a queen size bed and a queen sleeper sofa. With a fully remodeled kitchen, bathroom and living area, it has all the comforts of home. Two parking spots are available. We offer multi-day deals during the off-season. This is a non-smoking, non-pet unit. Free WIFI available. No cable. We offer an Amazon Firestick for internet TV. Mountain Shadows is well maintained and quiet. It has three (3) spas, a swimming pool, and two(2) laundry rooms. BBQ pits are available during the summer. The Green-line shuttle stops in front of the complex at stop #43. The Green-line drops off at the Eagle Lodge, the least busiest of all the lodges. Area shops, restaurants, bars, theaters, Miniature Golf, and Vons are just a short walk away. Note: During Winter months the exterior of the condo will be blocked with plywood panels to keep the deck and wood pile snow free and to protect the windows. This will limit the amount of natural light.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Do not make beds. Strip sheets from sleeper sofa (if used) and turn back into couch. Leave towels in bathroom.
Turn the thermostat down to 50 degree’s. Open all of the cabinet doors below the kitchen and bath sinks. (winter only).
- Take the trash out to the dumpster on your way out. Don't forget the bathroom trash. There is a place for recyclables. Please wash your dishes well and leave in the rack to dry.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Comfortable and quiet

Nice location in Mammoth Lakes. 10 min walk to grocery, 12 minute walk to closest brewery. On a quiet side street, we never heard any noise. Kitchen had adequate things for real cooking (knives are not terribly sharp), and the shared BBQ grill was great for grilling (bring your own grill brush). We used the laundry room for a hiking load, it costs 3 to wash and 1.50 to dry so not terrible and right across the driveway from the unit. Also the washing machines use an app so you can see how much time is left on your machine, plus use the app to pay. The unit is a studio, with the option of closing the panel wall to make it a true one bedroom. Since it was just two of us we didn't close the wall, but you could do that and handle two couples with some reasonable privacy. Tons of hot water in the bath and kitchen so no worries there. The bed is comfortable, and there is a sitting area where you can watch TV or just read in our case. When the weather is pleasant, you can open the sliding glass doors and let the fresh air in, there is a small balcony as well, but not really setup for sitting outside. We did make use of the spa after a day of hiking, it was pretty big and I am sure would be quite busy in the peak seasons, but we were there by ourselves for our visit. Overall a nice place, would recommend if you are visiting to ski or hike.

Arrived and appreciated the cleanliness and freshness. I thought is was a great place for a single person or couple. May be a bit crowded with more? It’s centrally located to all the things I’m interested in and can walk to them. I’ll be making another reservation this summer!

Great use of space

Unit is downstairs in an older building, but the unit itself has been cleverly updated to use the small space effectively. It’s a studio, and the bedroom can be closed off with a heavy sliding accordion door to reduce light/sound in the bedroom. There’s a wood burning stove next to the bed with plenty of wood and even kindling, which is a first for me in any Mammoth rental. If you like coffee, bring your own Keurig pods or bring coffee filters and ground coffee to use with a pour over pot that is in the kitchen. The place was clean and quiet, perfect for 1 or 2 people, and possible, but crowded, for more with a pull out sofa, which we did not use. Easy to walk to Old Town Mammoth (Meridian and Old Mammoth Road). We’d come back here definitely.

I enjoyed my stay but feel obligated to inform you of the following inaccurate information and issues. Some are minor but just an FYI so in the future, the information you provide can be accurate:The following information was not correct in your 'Here are the Keys' email:- Email notes there would be 2 parking passes in unit. I only saw one.- Email notes there is Amazon Firestick for internet TV. Unit had a Roku...not Firestick.- Email notes access code to JACUZZI/SAUNA/LAUNDRY but it does not work and is only accessed via a card key per the instructions from the owner.- Lastly, please note the front left stove top burner does not seem to work.

The unit is well decorated and very confortable. The access to the city shuttle is very Easy and you get to Eagle lodge in a few minutes. the only weak point is the wall of snow which completely blocks the natural light. After a few days it is possible to see a small beam of light

A Great Studio

We loved Cozy Studio. A great use of space and owners care about the rental and the guests who stay. All the little supplies we needed were there. We used the fireplace on the snowy afternoon and the firewood provided is nice!. We were glad we brought our own matches as the lighter didn't work. There’s a Vons very close where we picked up things we needed, like coffee pods for the Keurig machine. But we did find a pour over coffee pot we could have used for the ground coffee we brought. It’s a freshly remodeled place with everything done well. There were just 2 of us but it would work fine for four if you don’t mind sleeping on the sofa bed. There’s a nice divider that opens and closes to give privacy to those sleeping in the living room and 2 ways to get to get into the bathroom. The bed in the bedroom is comfortable. We loved this cozy place and will def stay here again.

Overall great place. Good location. We walked to the bus to get to main lodge. Walked to dinner. Perfect for 2 adults. Might be a tight squeeze for more adults? Only cons were walls were very thin (can hear everything), and bathtub drained very slowly after one shower but we contacted manager right away and got a quick response.
