This lovely apartment has been newly transformed to take full advantage of the prime location and views towards Table Mountain from the 4th floor.

This private apartment in The Rockwell is lovely and sunny in winter, yet cool and eternally livable in the summer. With a Balinese daybed and a coffee table outside, this apartment is all about making the most of Cape Town and the outdoors.

The air-conditioned interior in shades of black, white and green is cool and crisp and beautifully complements the Rockwell’s 1900s New York inspired architecture. The clean design makes full use of the interior space and flows easily on to the balcony area.

There is a full kitchen and a washer and dryer to provide all the conveniences of home. The apartment also has an espresso machine and an iPod/iPhone/iPad/Samsung phone/tablet dual docking station.

The Rockwell complex was inspired by the early 1900s architecture of Manhattan, and is surrounded by delightful sidewalk restaurants, bars, art galleries and quaint boutique shops. The complex has a stunning seven story interior atrium and luxurious fittings throughout. It also boasts a gym and an indoor, heated pool.

De Waterkant is the trendiest neighborhood in Cape Town and one of the most exclusive. The apartment enjoys an enviable location in the heart of the city without actually being in the CBD. From the apartment, you can easily walk to most major attractions of Cape Town. The CBD is just a couple of blocks, The V&A Waterfront (shops, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and Robben Island) is only minutes away, and there's an excellent supermarket across the road.

The CTICC (Convention Center) is nearby and there's very easy access to the highway. You can easily walk to the new Cape Town Stadium and Cape Quarter’s lively restaurant and café scene is just one block away.

If you have a car, the apartment has an assigned, underground secure car parking space with lift access into the building. Security is of the highest standard at the Rockwell with 24hr security and a 24hr staffed front desk.

WiFi is included. It's fast, fibre internet access.

The apartment is privately owned and is managed by a high-end corporate agency who only deal with luxury rentals. They will meet guests on arrival at The Rockwell and do all possible to ensure your stay in Cape Town is amazing. They also provide a complimentary weekly housekeeping service.

I'm more than happy to offer guests tips on the area and can recommend some amazing restaurants (that you'll need to book ahead for).

Beautiful apartment, great location. Easy to walk just about anywhere in the city. Incredible views of table mountain. Jenny was very efficient and helpful with any of our needs. The only suggestion would be to update and get more tableware and glassware.

The owner was a pleasure to deal with and her local property manager was extremely helpful. We loved everything about the apartment including the amenities, the location, the furniture, bathroom and balcony. It was fully equipped as well. Always great

This is the newest of Jenny's apartments. I travel to Cape Town regularly and I've now stayed in them all. All are great, and communication with Jenny is always speedy and excellent. This apartment has a stunning view of Table Mountain. I just wish I could spend more time gazing at it, rather than working. This apartment is very stylish and (as they all are) was spotless. The newly installed fibre internet worked really well.

This apartment is exactly as advertised, clean, tidy and in perfect condition with an excellent view of Table Mountain. We stayed for five nights and jenny provided all the required info we needed, she also responded quickly with my emailed questions. Key pick up went perfectly with Jenny's representive meeting us on our arrival at the entrance lobby. Grocery shopping at Spar is literally 2min walk from lobby and carries a pretty much anything needed for your stay. Highly recommend this stay and would loved to stay again. Thanks Jenny.

Great location ! Close to great restaurants, and shopping if you need it!

The place was very neat and clean when we arrived. All staff in the building are very friendly and helpful as well. Walking distance from Gold restaurant which I would highly recommend, the food was awesome. But if you're looking to make your own food there is a grocery store across the street that has a great selection of foods. Location was great since we were in the city and were walking distance from most places we needed to get to.

Jenny's apartment

Jenny's apartment was exactly as presented in the pictures. Very beautiful. I did not meet her but the property management firm she used was helpful and available 24 hrs a day. The location was great as it is in a hotel with good restaurants adjacent. I felt very safe which was important as I was traveling alone. I would definitely stay at her apartment again.

We loved this place!

This place was really a find! Jenny was exceptional in her prompt responses and information. I don't think I've had anyone on this site be so helpful and responsive. Her place is also quite wonderful. Last time we stayed in the V&A waterfront. While that's a nice area, it seems antiseptic to me and you don't really get the vibe of the city. De Waterkant is quite different. It's centrally located. We walked everywhere. And walking at night is safe as well. The apartment is in a great building with lots of security. And there are some incredible restaurants just behind in a small pedestrian street. It has a great balcony with views of Table Mountain. The amenities are top notch. And if you need anything, there is a grocery store just across the street. We plan to return to Cape Town and we most assuredly will rent from Jenny again. Thanks Jenny!

Ideal location

This is the second time wee have stayed at the Rockwell in a condo owned by Jenny Andersen. The building is extremely well located and well run. It is a safe place from which to explore the Waterkant, V&A waterfront and downtown Cape Town. Taxi rides provide a reasonable option to explore further afield and we loved taking the train to Kalk Bay. While we previously stayed in the second floor unit, we enjoyed the business of the fourth floor unit. There is a spectacular view of Table Mountain and watching the goings on at the petrol station was endlessly fascinating. In general, we would recommend these condos to anyone and, God willing, we'll be back.

Ideal location.

This is our second stay at the Rockwell. Both condo are owned by Jenny Andersen, but managed by her property agent In the City. Dealings with both parties could not be more proficient. Each time, we have been met on time and the idiosyncrasies of the condo have been explained expeditiously. While we enjoyed both units, the fourth floor condo with the view of Table Mountain stole our hearts. Watching the business of the street and overlooking the goings on at the petrol station was a constant source of delight. Exploring the Waterkant, V&A waterfront and also downtown Cape Town was a breeze from this location. taxi

Great choice in great neighborhood

This is a lovely property in a great location. This stylish apartment is extremely well maintained with all manner of conveniences and the property managers were quite responsive with any questions. The apartment has a great view of Table Mountain, is very close to grocery, shops, restaurants. Stunning 1 bedroom flat in the Heart of Cape Town

Beautifully appointed 1 bedroom flat situated in the heart of Cape Towns City Bowl. Great view of Table mountain from the superb lounger on your own balcony! Great restuarants and bars all within a short walking distance, with the V&A Waterfront not even a ten minute gentle stroll, with Willoughbies restuarant certainly having the best sushi i have ever had! Flat was spotlessly clean with a well managed reception and a great helpful agent. I would recommend highly! My wife and i will certainly be back. We had a superb time with this flat as our base to explore Cape Towns many delights!.

Amazing Stay in Our Cape Town Flat!

We stayed three weeks in Jenny's Cape Town holiday apartment, opting a flat over a hotel room. And we're so glad we did! Jenny, the owner has decorated the flat with furniture that is stylish, functional and, importantly, comfortable. From the moment Sarah, the property manager, opened the door, we felt at home. It is spacious and cozy. Too, everything you need is provided, including a washer and dryer, which was a bonus for us since we had been traveling for several months prior to our Cape Town arrival. Jenny, the owner, was absolutely wonderful in helping work through all of the rental issues. In fact, she was excellent in responding to our questions and concerns, and did so immediately! She's an awesome person to work with! She even provided us with a place to store extra luggage prior to our check in date so we did not have to take two additional large cases with us on a safari trip. You'll love working with her, promise! An additional note to this rental: It's in the Rockwell hotel, which, in itself, is a bonus. First of all, it's an easy ten minute safe walk to both the waterfront and the city center, and we walked to one or the other every day of our stay, minus the two days we were in Hermanus. Because it is a hotel, the Rockwell thus provides all of the conveniences, bar, restaurant, concierge services, tour bookings, you may need, all located in the lobby. Second, evert Friday we were there the hotel provided live music, in the lobby, and the groups/music was fabulous! It was an added attraction we had not considered, but such a treat! Third, the hotel staff is amazing, all kind and more than willing to make your stay comfortable and memorable. We fell in love with them all, Colin the manager included! If you have had any reservations about dealing with a rental in South Africa, working with Jenny will make those concerns vanish immediately. We know we'll be back soon! Jenny and Sarah, thanks for everything you did to make our stay an amazing one!

Great apartment in terrific neighbourhood

The apartment is compact, but very comfortable. During our two months, we particularly enjoyed the proximity to the CBD, Cape Town's great restaurants, and easy access to major motorways. Jenny, the owner, was extremely responsive. The apartment is near a very good supermarket (Spar). It overooks a busy street (and petrol station), but that was part of the fun city vibe. Near the Piano Bar with great drinks and music, a nice walk to the Waterfront. The apartment is particularly comfortable for short term stays - kitchen, storage, etc all fine. It was a plus to have the gym and the hotel bar. Felt very safe. We'd happily stay there again.

I'm an Australian girl who had been coming to South Africa since 1994 for many, many trips. Finally decided that I might like to spend some more time here. I figured a year maybe. But that was more almost 8 yrs ago :)

When in CT, I like to take advantage of the awesome food and wine, and the outdoorsy lifestyle which is so like my hometown (Sydney). The beaches are beautiful (but the water is way too cold for me), and there are some stunning drives nearby.

Other than that, I love to grab my tent and pop off and explore Southern Africa. (Namibia is gorgeous, Kgalagadi is my favourite area and Zambia is on the bucket list)

I love it when people come to South Africa and Cape Town (especially for the 1st time) and are 'converted'. They're a little dubious before their trip... but then they always get slammed by the "Africa bug" and are hooked.

Why they chose this property

I purposely chose De Waterkant (and especially The Rockwell) as it has such an awesome location. As a foreign girl on my own, I was a little anxious at first. But there are so many great cafes, shops, restaurants, bars etc within a safe walking distance - that this was perfect. And the Spar (supermarket) across the road is fantastic.

I've had an apartment in this building since 2009, but bought this one (and 1 other) in 2013. I didn't even consider anywhere else!

I had a great time doing them up, playing with the décor and getting them right for my guests... with things that I would like in my home.

What makes this property unique

Promise the apartments are really great. And you just can't beat the location.

I use a property management company who are extremely professional. So even if I'm not in town, you'll have someone 'on call' 24/7.

I have a little 'scribble doc' with loads of the things that I like to do in and around CT. I usually just send it to friends coming over - but I'll happily share it with you. It's just a mix of touristy and local things that I like to do. It might give you a few ideas of things to do.
