Enjoy the quiet lakefront ambiance of the Pine Cottage at Thayer Lake Cottages. This 2 bed/1 bath cottage is an ideal option for smaller groups or families. The Pine comes complete with all of the essentials for a summer retreat including private bonfire pit, outdoor seating, grill, picnic table and private dock. Rowboats, kayaks and canoes are available for guest use.

Pets are welcome subject to an additional pet fee.

The cottage was very well kept and cosy. The furniture was beautiful and the master bedroom bed was very comfortable. The view of the lake from the cottage was so peaceful and relaxing. The lake itself tended to be weedy and mucky by the dock. This was no problem for adults but maybe small children would not like the muck and weeds. My only suggestion would be a railing to hang on to by the small step into the cottage. My elderly husband had a little trouble managing it with no handrail. All in all I would recommend this cabin to adults who come to relax and fish and enjoy the beautiful view.

We loved our stay. The lake is so peaceful! The neighboring cabins are close, but only one other couple was there and there were no issues. Our cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. I'd recommend staying here if you're looking for peace, but then you are near Alden & Elk Rapids - both charming strolls near water.

We had a terrific stay at Pibe Cottage. The cottage was very well stocked, organized and clean. We had great success fishing in the lake. The kayaks and boats were very nice to have. We will definitely be back!

Great location!

The location was wonderful! We enjoyed the lake and all its natural beauty and wildlife. The cabin was a little rough as far as needing updates, especially the plumbing fixtures. The bed and bedding were great! Very nice and private for us and the dogs.

Family Reunion 2025

We were up for my husbands family reunion, at his aunt and uncles cottage in Elk Rapids. We decided to get our own place because the family is getting so big. The Pine Cottage was perfect for my husband, son and myself.
