About this property
Walk on Water at Sea Way
Come enjoy a stay at our home in the quaint, beautiful Townsend, GA located on the Julienton River with a deep-water dock for the fisherman of your group. Leave your boat at our private dock or take off for a day on the water for saltwater fishing, tubing, skiing, sailing, or find one of the nearby sandbars to dock and enjoy a day on land.
The house boasts 4 large bedrooms, a modern, updated kitchen and coffee bar ready for you to cook up whatever your heart desires with dining room seating for 12. Three of the four bedrooms have private baths to accommodate a large family or even multiple families. The views from the three downstairs bedrooms are all breathtaking waterfront views. Whether you are there to fish or just getaway, you can't go wrong at Walk on Water on Sea Way.
The home is conveniently located one hour from Savannah for shopping and the infamous River Street and only one hour fifteen minutes from Tybee Island for a day at the beach. If you prefer Brunswick or St. Simons, you are only 45 minutes to an hour from either of those. Sapelo Island is just a ferry ride away to visit the island and learn about its rich history. You can also visit Townsend's beautiful Harris Neck Wildlife Refuge for a day of hiking, biking, fishing, or wildlife watching. You can't go wrong with so many things to do so close by.
Even though Townsend is small, the community is great and there are plenty of great places to eat. For breakfast, lunch or dinner, you can hit Altman's Cafe for most anything you'd like. There's also the Shellman Shanty for breakfast and lunch and Hunter Cafe in Shellman Bluff for lunch and dinner. Blackbeard's at Shellman Bluff is a great weekend eatery or Knotty's at Shellman Bluff for lunch or dinner most days and brunch on Sundays. If seafood is what you want, The Fish Dock at Pelican Point is the place to go in Townsend, or you can travel to Darien a quick 20 minutes to find Skipper's Fish Camp or B & J's Steak and Seafood. You will not go hungry while visiting Walk on Water on Sea Way.
Come for a visit and see for yourself just how special our home and area can be.

About the host
Hosted by Darrell and Michelle Holder

We are from Elko, GA. We enjoy hosting events for our church, running our business, and spending time with our three grown children and our only grandchild. We decided to become a VRBO host to share our beautiful home with others. We know we have a special place on the water and we want to allow others to enjoy it like we do.
Why they chose this property
The waterfront views are amazing. You literally feel like you could step out and walk on the water. The waterways are our favorite. We love tubing, fishing, and just riding around the area in our boat.
What makes this property unique
Our property is on a deep water dock. There aren't many of those so it's a great place to stay and bring your boat so you can enjoy all the area has to offer. Our home is beautiful and a rare gem with 4 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The views from the downstairs bedrooms are amazing and the kitchen and dining room are perfect to host a large family gathering or getaway. The home is centrally located between Savannah and Brunswick for more adventures nearby.
