Villa, 6 Bedrooms, 7 Baths, (Sleeps 14)
About Jonathan Salcedo
This home has been in my family since the moment of it´s construction. We have been members of VRBO since the year 2000 and we are very proud to grow hand by hand with this amazing website. I love to travel the world, scuba diving, golf, tennis and try to offer our guests the same experience that I look for when I travel.
Why Jonathan Salcedo chose South Zone
This property is very important for my family because it has a lot of sentimental history for us. My father arrived to Puerto Vallarta when it was first being developed and chose this special spot in Playa Punta Negra. In that time there where a lot of places available however he didn´t hesitate in choosing this location due to it´s privileged beach and setting. He decided to build this villa as a family vacation home in the place he considered would be one of the best beaches of Puerto Vallarta and time proved he was correct.
What makes this Villa unique
When my father constructed this villa, his idea was to build a home that blended with the beauty of the constructions that made the 'Puerto Vallarta Style' a architectural concept. For this reason he incorporated two domes, roof tiles, rocks, marble and a white color through out the villa. All of this combined with all the necessary amenities in order to enjoy the villa with a great comfort. We consider our staff members friends of our family because we've known them for a long time and they're one of the strengths of our villa. We are convinced that very few homes in Puerto Vallarta can offer the service that we offer to our guests and the great location of our villa being one of the few in Puerto Vallarta, REALLY LOCATED ON THE BEACH.

Amazing Family Vacation
Jonathan was quick to respond through our planning process and even continued to follow up after our trip. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food delicious, and the house was perfect for our family of 7! Most of the gathering areas are “open air” so don’t expect to be cool in the summertime unless you’re in your bedroom or in the pool. Because of the hacienda style, some areas of the home and it’s contents feel slightly “weathered”, maybe a little “tired” and could use some refreshing, but aside from that, the place is paradise. You will not find another property more beautiful in this price point. The backyard beach was a hit with every family member. The pool hang out is where we spent nearly every minute of the day. The sunsets...my oh my, the sunsets. A quick drive into town makes the location total perfection. Thanks Jonathan and staff for a wonderful trip!
Family Summer Vacation Getaway!
From the very beginning, Jonathan was very kind and communicative with us regarding every detail. We even had to move our trip because of a conflicting commitment, and he was very accommodating.
We were greeted by Jonathan's father, who flew in that day from Mexico City, to welcome us to Casa Paty. He was cheerful, informative and made us feel at home from the very moment we arrived. The staff made us feel like we were at a 5 star resort. Sergio, will be your chef; no really....he's a true chef and a genius in the kitchen. Emilio was our house keeper overall takes care of anything you need. Luc was our house cleaner, which she kept all of our rooms and bathrooms spotless.
We are getting married in October and wanted our children to have time to bond before the wedding. We were the Mexican Brady Bunch, bringing together a total of 9 family members under one roof. Casa Paty was the perfect space. There are 6 bedrooms, each with it's own full bathroom, and 2 extra bathrooms (totaling 8).The house has lots of space to mingle and activities everyone enjoyed. We enjoyed hearing the soothing waves daily, walking along the beach, snorkeling while seeing lots of marine life, and making a lifetime of memories.
Thank you, Jonathan, your father, Sergio, Emilio, and Luc! We were all truly blessed by this trip!
Great beach front home for a large group
From the start, Jonathan was a very responsive and welcoming host. When we arrived everything was exactly what we had imagined based on the pictures of the listing. The chef and staff were really responsive and helpful the entire time. We had came home late from our day of activity and the staff had waited over 6 hours to serve us which we really appreciated. The home itself was well laid out and the majority of the time was spent by the pool which over looked the ocean and AMAZING sunsets. We were a group of 11 working professionals from California and we travel to Mexico often. This was one of the best trips because of the house and i would book the home again in a heartbeat! Safe and quiet area and everything was gated and we never felt unsafe. Thanks again Jonathan!
Below expectations, not as advertised. High price, low value.
We were a group of 11 people staying for one week at Casa Paty, all of us have visited PV many times and rented many properties. We were captivated by the photos of the beach front location, but upon arrival this house is definitely not luxurious.
The interior of the house would be best described as tired. A shining jewel of yesteryear that has not been maintained well. The common areas are drab and low-end. The great room on the entry level had worn out furniture, a musty smell, and very weird energy. There were random cardboard boxes stored in every nook and cranny in the bar. None of us were comfortable in this room and didn’t spend any time there.
For hang out space that left us with the lower/ground level. The large sofas are nice and comfortable to flop out on, and we spent all of our social time there. By the end of the week however, we were all a little tired of spending time only in that space. If only the great room weren’t so weird…. The bar on the ground floor is cluttered with empty bottles of wine and three suspended halogen lights, one of which insisted on flickering on and off at all times. Combine that with more clutter from two high chairs, pool toys in various degrees of inflation, and a constant drip from the ceiling that hit whichever sorry diner chose to sit in the most prime seat at the dining table.
The bedrooms were fine at best. Most of the mattresses were really comfortable and each room has its own (small but functional) bathroom. Decor is (again) tired. The master has a beautiful ocean view and one of the other rooms has a garden courtyard, the other four bedrooms have either no view or no windows. There were holes in the bed linens, one guest had several large holes in her pillowcase. The beach/bathroom towels are well past their expiration date.
The house cleaner was wonderful, she was kind and maintained our rooms very well despite the shabby linens. The cooking was just passable. The server was quite complacent - we had to ask for tasks that should be automatic: clean beach towels in the morning, tidying up, wiping down the bar. He never once offered to bring us a drink, and rolled his eyes several times at us when we asked for things.
The beachfront location is wonderful, very sandy beach with water calm enough to take a dip in. This is the only reason to give this house 1 out of 5 stars.
The owner is relying way too much on the beachfront location, creating a very sub-par vacation experience overall.
We stayed here Wednesday through Sunday of Memorial Weekend. Six couples. Zero complaints. The staff was great. Very respectful of your privacy but always there when you need them. We went out for dinner each night but breakfast and lunch at the house were fantastic. The beach is great. Practically private. A little south of all the action but a short cab ride to town. I have a hard time believing anyone would be disappointed in this place. I’ve never been to the same VRBO twice but this will be the exception.
We went on a girls trip to Puerto Vallarta for my sister’s Bachelorette party and stayed at Casa Paty. We loved it! There were 12 of us and 6 bedrooms with each their own bathroom. We had two to a room but each room had a king size bed so you didn’t even notice! The beds were comfortable, the place was clean, and the staff was very kind and accommodating. The location is fabulous! Great pool and we all loved being on the beach, which was beautiful. We went to town one evening which was an easy 10 minute cab ride. We all said we’d go back again and stay at Casa Paty!
