Lovely early April stay

We came in early April, 6 adults and one 6yr old. Easy to find and good general amenities in the local area.The property is fantastic, pool is stunning, living area is stunning, bedrooms are stunning, kitchen is stunning, BBQ is stunning and if we ever had any questions our hosts were there to help.The only thing I would say is early April is a little too early for all the restaurants/bars/hotels to be open, but there were enough open to have some fantastic meals out and obviously does not reflect on the villa itself.

The views are spectacular and the villa is exactly as advertised. There are loads of balconies and terraces so it never feels crowded, even with a large family. There are even 2 family rooms on different levels which works great when the kids need their own space, DVDs and television. Even though we visited in October, the pool was great and the town was busy, which kept the kids entertained. Perfect holiday!

Fantastic villa

We've just enjoyed a brilliant week in Villa Tymnessos. Built over 4 levels, and with each of the 4 bedrooms having an ensuite bathroom, we had lots of space to relax. Gorgeous views from the roof terrace and spacious eating area just off the kitchen. Lots of comfy outdoor furniture to relax on. Very comfortable beds. Sean was very prompt and informative with communications before and during our stay and we were fortunate to be granted a late check out of 4pm as no guests were due that day. The villa was easy to find using google maps. Handy couple of supermarkets and eateries just 5 mins walk away and about 25 min walk to the harbour and old town. We had a hire car so easy enough to drive over and park there in an evening if dining out there. Very quiet area in terms of traffic and neighbours. Highly recommended

Fantastic Villa on the outskirts of Kalkan

Having been invited to a wedding in Kalcan and looking through the range of available options we went for this villa and we were not disappointed in any way. The villa itself is well appointed, clean and has all you could need. It has stunning views of the Turkish Mediterranean sea, especially from the roof terrance. The private pool was something we utilised every day. The villa's location was ideal for us as it was close enough to the town to be able to walk there easily but for enough away to be quiet in the evenings. The hosts had arranged a simple 'welcome pack' of supplies and due to flight and car rental delays we didn't get to the town until nearly midnight and yet the local contact came to meet us and made sure we were in the villa. I had never been to Turkey before but if you are interested I can thoroughly recommend the place and this villa. For us there was just the two of us and we enjoyed the space but the villa is big enough for a couple of families to be in the place without being on top of each other. Recommended without any hesitation.

From my first inquiry about Villa Tymnessos, communication with the hosts was excellent. They were friendly, always quick to respond and very helpful indeed. Booking and communication was effortless. A very welcome, ‘Welcome’ pack was left for us, providing us with the essentials for breakfast following our late night arrival. Very thoughtful. Our request for a later check-out due to the night time departure of our return flight was also kindly accommodated. The villa was wonderful, spacious and very comfortable. Large comfy beds in the main bedrooms and modern en suite bathrooms. We didn’t use the kitchen much as there are so many lovely, good value places to eat out, however it is fully stocked with high end appliances including everything you’d need for staying in and cooking up a storm. The pool was a good size, extremely clean and maintained daily. Stayed in many villas over the years and this pool is right up there as one of the best. So refreshing to cool off from the heat of the still very warm October sun. We loved it! There are outstanding views from the Villa across the bay. Incredible! So many vantage points, from the balcony dining area to the main bedroom balconies, to the wonderful roof terrace. Sunrise, sunset, boats crossing the bay. Mesmerising! We had a truly wonderful time in Kalkan at Villa Tymnessos and would return. Thank you.

Magical Villa Tymnessos

What a wonderful holiday we had at Villa Tymnessos. The Villa is gorgeous - super spacious, well appointed, with everything you could hope for on a beach vacation. We loved the bougainvillea and trailing honeysuckle that flourishes in the garden. It really adds to the Mediterranean ‘exotic’ holiday feel. Being on a hill, the views from the Villa are fantastic. The roof-top terrace is a real treat, a great place for both early mornings and sunsets. In fact, the hardest part of our stay was deciding where to sit for breakfast each morning! We highly recommend getting your freshly baked morning bread at one of the local cafés - we shopped at Can Can - which is no more than a 10-minute walk from the Villa. Even though our stay was at the end of October, a good few swims were had in the fabulous pool. And for non-swimmers, there is no lack of places to sit, read and/or snooze – upstairs or downstairs. Each day was like finding somewhere new! There is plenty to do in the town itself. Sean and Morgan have compiled an excellent recommendation guide which helped us navigate our way around. A stroll through old town and the harbour will keep you entertained, not to mention well-fed. We took the local bus to Kas for lunch on one of our days, which very easy to do and a great experience – again we recommended it. The Beach club too was excellent. We spent two afternoons there, lunching, swimming and doing… nothing much. The service is good and, if you don’t fancy the hilly walk back, they offer a shuttle service. It was always good to come back to the Villa – being slightly out of the town, means that it is quieter, which we appreciated after a long day of ……doing nothing much. To top off our experience, Hamza very kindly organised our transfer to the airport, taking any of that stress away. What great service Thank you Sean and Morgan for sharing your Villa with us. Great place, great people, great service

We had a wonderful time, we stayed for 2 weeks from the 12th August as 2 families, 8 of us in total. Sean and Morgan couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful during the booking and stay and Mustafa who looked after the grounds and pool was great and very helpful. The villa is lovely, nice and modern inside with some great views from the main bedroom floor and especially the roof terrace, a must for sun downers. The kids loved the pool which thankfully with the heat does enjoy some shelter throughout most of the day. We enjoyed being just outside Kalkan in Kalamar Bay, about 15 to 20 minutes walk as it was a little quieter and has easy access to Kalamar bay beach club just below which was great, and with taxis being cheap and regular it is not an issue, and there are a number of restaurants and bars just a stone thrown away on the walk in. We loved the area, plenty to do and the restaurants, service and people are great. Other than the great restaurants in the old town, there is a ton of things to do on the door step or within a decent drive from scuba diving or going out on a boat with Captain Lucky, to gorge walking and enjoying the beaches. Our first time in Turkey and we think we came to the right place, we will hopefully be back.

Amazing Family Getaway

I heard about this property from a friend and wanted to try it as a family getaway. We travelled as a group of three adults, two children, and an infant. Information provided on the website and contact information was very helpful to arrange the transfer from the airport to the villa. The company recommended for us was extremely professional and considerate given that we have baby travelers. We arrived to the villa which is really spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The furniture is good as new. The Dollmans were kind enough to leave us very helpful information on things to do in Kalkan, contact information of taxi drivers, supermarkets, restaurants, etc, and guiding information to use the home appliances. This was of a huge benefit to us as first time visitors. I cannot begin to describe the views from the villa. Yes! All of the photos on the website, you get to see them for real! :) Every window or glass door provides you with a relieving view. The living rooms and bedrooms are distributed in a way that ensures privacy and comfort especially for people with kids. The villa and the area in general is very safe and quite. Neighbors are very friendly as well. The Dollmans have kindly allowed our kids to use the toys of theirs which our kids have really appreciated. The pool was cleaned daily and we really had a great time swimming as it is also private. The food in the restaurants recommended by the Dollmans is great. I'm home now but when I look back, I remember breakfasts on the balcony, sunrises and sunsets clear from home, greenery, and hospitality. We will definitely come back to our home away from home!

A lovely villa

We had a lovely 5 day’s at this wonderful villa in Kalkan. The place was nicely decorated, well maintained and equipped. It is in a great location to walk to the restaurants, beach club and town. Recommend breakfast at Cafe Vita, Turkish bath at ‘Sera’ and Turkish shave at ‘Sweeney Todd’s’ The problems we had ( nothing serious) were quickly and politely sorted by the property managers which minimised any inconvenience.

We really enjoyed staying at Villa Tymnessos in Kalkan. Sean and Morgan provided all the information needed before and during our stay. We liked it so much and extended our stay by one day to spend more time in the house. The view from the terrace and the main bedroom is stunning! We used the pool at nights, perfect place to spend time with family, rooms are spacious and everyone felt so comfortable. We had a minor issue with the electricity, but Hamza and Suleyman quickly sorted out. Mustafa was there every morning to water the garden, clean the pool and check in to see that everything was in order. It’s a place to relax, rest and enjoy the holiday. Perfect summer holiday!

We have just returned home after the most wonderful stay at the fantastic Villa Tymnessos in Kalkan... we absolutely loved every minute! The house was amazing, the little town was amazing and we just had the most incredible time! The villa provided the most beautiful views from every room and provided everything that we could possibly need - the welcome package on our arrival was extremely thoughtful and much appreciated! Two families can stay together very comfortably in this well appointed home, the swimming pool is very sheltered and provided a welcome refresher after a long day out. We didn’t have any real queries, but the property managers were always available to help. They even organised us a wonderful baby sitter on two occasions. We received excellent recommendations from the owners and explored Kalkan, Kas, Patara, Islamlar and the surrounding areas. We really enjoyed the Kalamar Beach Club and fell in love with Kaputas beach. We also did a two day trip on Sea Bella Junior to Kekova... it was amazing!! We recommend renting a car during the stay, as it makes it so much easier to navigate around the town and nearby attractions. The local supermarket adjacent to Cafe Vita is helpful for emergency supplies, but I would recommend Migros Supermarket for shopping. Don't miss the pancakes at the Kalkan market on a Thursday! We absolutely love Turkey, its people, its food, its hospitality and beautiful waters and cannot wait to return!

We are a family that loves to travel. We have always talked about owning a little place somewhere overseas where we could escape from the world. We found that in Kalkan and Villa Icon is our escape.

Why they chose this property

We first fell in love with Kalkan during a visit in the summer of 2005, and we've been property owners since 2008. In 2024, we purchased Villa Icon, a property that immediately captured our hearts. We envisioned a home that would offer fun and relaxation for the whole family — with plenty of entertainment and activity options for our teenagers, as well as tranquil spaces for the adults to unwind and recharge.

Kalamar Bay has always been our favorite part of Kalkan, with its breathtaking views, inviting beach clubs, and excellent selection of restaurants and coffee shops. We still love strolling through Kalkan’s charming Old Town, reminiscing about past visits, and catching up with the wonderful locals who make this place so special. Once you’ve tasted the superb local cuisine and witnessed one of Kalkan’s unforgettable sunsets, we’re sure you’ll fall in love with it too.

What makes this property unique

We chose Villa Icon as it is a beautiful modern property with numerous amenities in our favorite location, Kalamar Bay. It is only a short 5-minute walk to the sea and 3 beach clubs, and a 3-minute walk from some amazing restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and a supermarket.

Families will enjoy all of the entertainment options available in the villa, and with a heated pool, hammam, and sauna the villa can be enjoyed year-round. For movie and sports buffs, the cinema room provides a cool escape, and the gym, pool table, and plunge pool will keep active families entertained.
