About this property
ROWAYTON /SOUTH NORWALK BEACH COMMUNITY HOME FOR SUMMER RENTAL
Situated in a charming beach community just 10 minutes from Rowayton and from Historic South Norwalk our delightful architect designed home was built to maximise sensational views over 20 acres of salt marsh out to the Long Island Sound. 5 mins walk to private beach and picturesque dock. This light and airy house has hardwood floors throughout and is in immaculate condition. A perfect home from home in every season, with plentiful supplies of sheets and towels and everything else you might need for that home-from-home experience. On the first floor there is a master bedroom suite with king bed and large walk-in closet . The ensuite master bath has double sinks in marble vanity and a walk in shower. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and Bedroom 3 has twin beds. The refurbished family bath is bright and modern. Both bathrooms benefit from the luxury of radiant heat floors and electric heated towel rails. All bedrooms have cellular black out blinds. There is a laundry room and excellent storage space at this level as well as access to the integral double garage with extra fridge/freezer. Upstairs opens to a super spacious open plan living/dining/kitchen area with panoramic views from its floor length windows and plenty of seating around the oversized fireplace. It opens onto the supersized deck with dining tables and chairs. The kitchen is very well equipped (I love to cook) for the most discerning cook. There are two outdoor decks to maximise enjoyment in all seasons. A gas grill is provided as well as an outdoor shower. The separate spacious family/TV room benefits from enormous windows on two sides, comfy sofas, and a piano! There is a guest powder room between the living and family rooms. Village Creek itself boasts a private beach and dock, 2 tennis courts, a basket ball practice area, and a wide open grassy park area for running, jumping or ball games. There are swings and a jungle gym. Brand new outdoor pickleball courts are 5 mins away with daily Open Play! More indoor courts opening in South Norwalk this winter!! This wonderful haven is about an hour by train to NYC and only 5 minutes from the house to the Station. By road it is easily reached on I95 or Route 15 (The Merritt). Village Creek is 8 minutes from the great dining, cinemas, and museums of downtown South Norwalk; 10 minutes from charming Rowayton, and about 15-20 minutes from the sophistication of Darien or Westport; Greenwich, Stamford, New Canaan are all nearby with excellent shopping and restaurants. Guests may borrow our 2 bicycles.

About the host
Hosted by Andi Wellman

We divide our time between this Connecticut home beside our daughters and grandchldren and London where we have lived since the 1980's.
Why they chose this property
We looked for over a year in and around Rowayton, and then rented twice in Village Creek over two summers. When we heard this house might be for sale we grabbed at the chance to purchase it and then renovate it completely. We simply loved the situation, the views, the friendliness and knew we could be happy here. We were right.
What makes this property unique
We love to walk and bike and just relax on the deck or at the beach. Also it is great to be able to go the NYC as often as we want. The wildlife and wetland views never cease to delight whatever the season. So it combines country living with easy access to City life when the mood changes.
