Nice place

Loved the room and location. Problem we had were some bugs. Could have been cleaner the bath tub had a dead wasp and soap scum. The big tub needs the jets cleaned. Could have used a broom to keep up with the invasion of bugs. Went and bought a broom and dust pan and swept them up like three times a day.

The place had a lot of charm, but was otherwise a mess. Here's what we found upon arrival. The floor had not been swept. There were dead bugs on the floor, including a brown recluse. We killed a live brown recluse in the shower. The "clean" towel on the jacuzzi had hair and dirt on it. Mice had been into the additional clean towels located under the sink, chewed up the spare toilet paper, and left lots of droppings. We notified the hosts. They sent someone while we were out to eat. When we came back, the door was standing open, but nothing had been addressed. We noified them again. While we were canoeing the next day, they messaged us and asked us to be in the room. It's not our job to babysit housekeeping while on vacation. When we got back, we did find that we had clean towels and the mouse mess was cleaned up. The floor was never swept. The second night, a brown recluse bit me on the chest while in bed. This could be a great place if the cleaners did their jobs. As part of the reservation, we were charged a cleaning fee which adds insult to injury. After the trip, we notified the hosts again with no response. We do not recommend.
