We had an extended stay in this adorable place. It was cozy and had everything we needed. The location was excellent! We rode our bikes or walked most places and it was such a wonderful experience. I recommend this place to anyone traveling to Cashmere. The train does go by frequently but we just got used to it. It’s worth staying here for the 1) grandma decor ( very nostalgic) 2) location location location 3) spaciousness 4) and the amazing porch swing!

Host did not indicate that the train ran less then 20 feet from the bed. The train went through at least 5 times at night shaking the tables next to the bed. Host had ear plugs and noise machine but failed to tell us a head of time about the train. I would not have booked had I known how close the train was. Our sleep was horrible.

Very Unique location called side street. Attached to various fun shop etc giving you something to do just a few feet away. Very friendly area, in a cute little town close to larger towns and cities. The suite is cozy, fully equipped, no hassle or problem.

Perfect and relaxing

The Chickadee Suite was a perfect 4th of July getaway for us and our two dogs! It was walkable to multiple restaurants, coffee shop, and Yonder Cider!

Great spot!

We loved how cute and cozy this place was and it was just a short drive from Leavenworth! Cashmere is also a hidden gem with several cute little shops.

Very charming with a ton of character. I loved the art and the knick knacks, it looked very intentionally curated.We wish we didn't feel the need to pull the curtains though because it felt very exposed to us. Like through the windows. We had them pulled our whole visit and we missed the natural light. It did feel like a safe neighborhood though and the rows of shops/restaurants etc is a short walk away.

Only problems we had was there isn't any soundproofing between us and the next unit. Had to listen to the neighbors conversations and kids running and playing. Also the host mentioned the train would be going by but didn't say it would be twenty feet from the bedroom. Pretty hard to get good sleep with the air horn blasting that close all night.

Great place to stay if you want to be close to Leavenworth or Wenatchee. The trains were an added bonus and did not bother us. I would recommend for adults only. The knick knacks are nostalgic, but could be easily broken by young ones. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Our trip

Had such a nice stay! The home is clearly well loved and taken care of. It was in a great location for everything we wanted to do. We were honestly surprised with how many cooking utensils they had in used to rentals just having one pot one pan and one knife but they have it well stocked! I read the reviews prior so we were prepared for the train and it honestly wasn’t that bad. Would definitely stay again next time!

Cozy Place

The place is retro, down to earth and nice. We didn't know the train ran right next to it, but it didn't bother us at all. There is a convenient coffee place right next door. One thing I would have done differently is bring our own blankets and pillows for the foldout couch, just for our own comfort... Hot pads for the kitchen and a set of tongs would be handy, but all in all everything we needed was there. Not far from Leavenworth so that was handy and the price was decent. We'd stay again. :) Thanks Chickadee.

Cashmere is a undiscovered gem and the property is really conveniently located. It was our first time in town but we'll be back to Cashmere (though might look for quieter place). The property is charming, but it's not for light sleepers, as we could hear the conversation from the neighbors next door quite clearly. Every time they come in and out you hear it. You hear the people walking. And the trains -- they are very loud, they blow their horns at the crossing just down the road, and the big ones shake the building, and there were at least 3 between midnight Sat and 7am Sunday. We were exhausted from a full hiking so still managed a decent night's sleep, but if you're a light sleeper look elsewhere.

Chickadee stay

It was conveniently located and incredibly well stocked VRBO. The kitchen was great and made cooking easy with good equipment (pans and knives). We normally bring our own knife because we find those in rentals tend not to work great and we did not need it! The bed was also really quite comfortable to sleep on. The decoration was super fun and 1920's meet 1960's:). Yonder Cider opened at the end of our week there which was a super cool space and within the same building. The proximity to the trains was both awesome and really really close! Chickadee did what they could to help with the noise at night with the horns of the trains (ear plugs, white noise machine, etc) but they do come 2-3 times a night. Thank you for a great week!

It was clean and adorable. Loved being walking distance to the coffee shop. We slept on the pullout that was oddly very comfortable because the king bed was hard as a rock. This place was great but if you’re looking for a quiet place to relax find somewhere else. This suite is cocooned by the 5 bedroom chickadee inn and you can hear everything they say and everywhere they walk. There’s a slide so it’s kid friendly making the noise even worse. The train isn’t even that bad. Once guests checked out the vacuum running across the floor above us sounded like the floor was going to fall thru. Then the workers next door listened to music from 5:30 to 9 every evening and the radio sounded like it was in the room with us. Upon further investigation the door is directly attached to the business next door with the lock facing the wrong way. As two women staying alone this was extremely nerve wracking. I didn’t sleep that last night. The porch swing is amazing but there’s a ton of foot traffic. Overall great stay, they give you everything you need, great hosts, but lord have mercy it’s LOUD.
