Thank You Brian. It was nice to have you both stay at Thunder Ridge Lodge. There was a baby deer born about 3 months ago behind the wood pile. The momma deer walks around while the baby lies quietly in the woods. We have seen them both wandering closely around the cabin. Thanx for noticing how clean everyting was. We clean everything ourselves and make sure everything is the way it‘s supposed to be. It is like a home in that it has everything you need and want while you stay at a cabin in the woods. Be well! Hi Kaylea and David, thank you for noticing everything. We do…do everything ourselves.. and we don’t have a management company. We make sure our guests have an excetional vacation. I wish we could have had more chatting during your stay in order to help you with lights. Perimeter lights are on at gazebo/firepit to keep bears away. We had two incidents 2 years ago, and thus lights. Since put the need lights up, No more incidents. Also, the lights are done well. To see stars, I tell guests to walk down the driveway, just outside the gate and look up. Note: The mountain side lights can be turned off and there is a switch For them and for side lights. However, safety first! We can’t have people tripping or falling. That is one reason the property is graded and graveled, which was at a big expense. I am happy you hiked Yonah… that’s a great accomplishment. We hope we will chat more on your next trip so we can help make your stay even more memorable.
