Amazing beachfront condo in Playa Blanca, Manglaralto. 2 bed/2 bath, 23 metre pool overlooking the beach, gated community with 24 hour security, wifi. Canadian owned with keyholder and property maintenance on site. Manglaralto is a quiet alternative to the nightlife and hubbub Montanita, yet only a 30 min walk along the beach (or $2 cab ride) to the attractions in Montanita. The layout of the artisan village of Montanita is a grid of small streets crowded with shops and restaurants. Most of the east/west roads have beach access. Montanita's economy is based on tourism, mainly with respect to food service , surfing and craft sales. High season for tourism peaks in January and each February Carnival is held in Montanita.

We had a wonderful time revisiting Kevin's condo! My husband and I stay the month of December 2021 and the first part of January 2022. We got to experience Christmas and New Year's in Ecuador, it was a great experience. We were visiting Ecuador on the occasion of our son's marriage to a wonderful young woman whose family lives in Guayaquil. Kevin's condo provided a perfect home away from home for us. What a beautiful setting right on the shore!

Our First Trip to Ecuador

My husband and I stayed at Playa Blanca from Jan 2020 to the end of March 2020. We had a wonderful time our entire stay and would recommend Kevin's condo to anyone who wanted to visit this area of Ecuador. Every evening we would sit out on the balcony watching and listening to the waves. Playa Blanca complex is very well maintained and you couldn't ask for a better location which is right on the beach. We enjoyed walking for miles on the beach, and even walked to Montanita almost every other day. We meet many friendly Ecuadorian people plus numerous people from all around the world. Kevin's condo Manager Shirley was wonderful not only as a Manager but also as a friend. She was always there and willing to help regardless of the situation.

Delightful condo right on the beach -- loved it!

This is an absolutely lovely property, exactly as described on VRBO. The condo was clean and welcoming. The property manager, Shirley, met us at the condo and gave us tons of information regarding shopping, condo amenities and much more. And, she was continuously available to us throughout our stay. This beach is amazing -- we walked hours each day -- and in both directions. We were here during Carnivale and loved the celebrations. Such a family oriented, unbelievably safe area. And the shopping in Montanita was fun. We had some great meals out and enjoyed finding lots of fruit and more at all the local tiendas. We remarked daily on how welcoming all of the folks were in every town and along the beach. The drive from Guayaquil was easy -- four lane highway nearly the whole way. We can't wait to return again and again. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to visit the heart of Ecuador. And the beach -- oh my goodness! Perfect, clean and you can walk for miles and miles.

Beautiful beach

We enjoyed Kevin’s place although a very quick stay, we went site seeing to Ayangue for lobster dinner and towns in between and to Montanita for a great breakfast and tourist shopping. Wish we could have stayed longer. Beautiful views, great beach, lovely clean condo, and just like the pictures a huge pool. Its a bit cooler down here than up in Canoa because of the breeze which is perfect. Yes, I would stay again and recommend this Casa.

Great place to unwind and enjoy an amazing beach, pool, and view.

This condo was fantastic...close to lots of restaurants but fully equipped if you want to do your own cooking... Including an induction stove!! The beach is spectacular and you can walk for miles in both directions. The other people at the condo were friendly and pleasant to chat with in our limited Spanish. We traveled with two teens who enjoyed both the pool, which is much bigger than it appears in the pictures, and beach. It was great having all the luxuries of home, including washer and dryer...and the proximity to both beach and lots of communities with great restaurants. Thanks for a great stay!

Nice beach condo near Montanita

I have stayed in other vacation rentals in this area of Ecuador and this is the best one I have encountered. It was clean, easy to find once you knew where you were supposed to be going, and steps to the beach. I was not real sure what to expect as the location of the unit was not showing up as actually on the beach on this website even though the photos showed the beach. But it was at the beach. The condo complex appears to be fairly new. It was off season so there were not many people around. They guards at the front entrance were friendly and helpful. Shirley, the manager, had someone meet me to get me settled into the unit. She wasn't able to do so as she was laid up with a broken leg. But she was available if I needed her. The bed was comfortable. The internet work really good. I was not able to get the TV working and I was not sure if I needed to pay more money for that as the guy who actually met me at the condo to check me in had said something about taking a number to some store and paying money. Clearer instructions are needed for TV use or payment. The kitchen had the basics for cooking but was lacking soap for washing dishes and hand soap. It was the same in the bathroom, clean, but lacking soap. I guess I was supposed to bring my own soap? The "crazy ants" that are common in beach areas were present in the kitchen area and even though I really tried to clean well, they were always around. There was a nice pool outside but is was a cooler month so I did not use it, but I did touch the water and it did not seem real cold and several kids were playing in the water. As this was a 3rd floor unit, that made it nice because I was able to leave the windows open at night time to listen to the ocean waves as they put me to sleep. I certainly will try to stay here again when I come back to this part of Ecuador.

Very good location and everything in this property

Very good location - just 4 km from Montanita (2$ by taxi), but there are in the complex is quiet and nobody on the beach. Kevin - the owner of the property is really caring owner. He showed me the shops, where I can by everything what I need and all the time was in connect with me by whats up messenger. Swimming pool was cleaning every day and the personal of the complex is also good and responsive. In the property I had all what I need to live with my 4 year old son - the full equipment kitchen and I was cooking every day for my son.
