Beautifully Renovated 18th Cent. Historic Apartment In Malaga Centre

Completely renovated, this apartment was a 18th century tavern that greeted travelers outside the city wall who needed a meal or drink before heading to their destination another city or inside Málaga. This historical 66m2 apartment has only 1 floor with two large balconies and only two apartments which gives plenty of privacy and natural light. An American kitchen joins the living room. The bedrooms are large and spacious with 1 doble and 2 single beds. Staying here will give all the comfort of home and quiet rest in a busy bustling city. Bakeries, cafés, supermarket pharmacy and other amenities.

+ 1 large bedroom with one large DOUBLE (150cm) bed

+ 1 bedroom with two SINGLE (90cm) beds. Another single bed pulled out for an extra person.

+ 1 bathroom with shower. FREE toiletries (toilet paper, gel, shampoo). Clean fresh towels are provided.

+ Fully fitted kitchen (oven, stove, fridge, microwave, electric kettle, Nespresso machine, washing matchin, plates, utensils, glasses, etc).

+ FREE WiFi and roaming WiFi.

+ Parking (15€/day. I have only 1 spot for 2 apartments. In order to guarantee a spot, please book in advance.)

Nightmare
Arrived to no hot water. This lasted for 3 days. Shower was clogged and all they did was leave a plunger which never worked. Heat broke down and was told someone would come to fix it and that never happened. Property manager sent his assistant to help unfortunately he doesn’t speak English. Do not recommend this apartment. Bedroom window looks out to hallway??? Very strange.

Almost perfect
Within 5 minute walk of the old city, easy check-in, outstanding 600mbps WiFi, Juliet balconies to the outside (not just an interior light well like so many Malaga apartments), fully renovated, found it very quiet even at night, & bed was comfortable. Kitchen had an oven (also not in every Spanish suite), full size fridge, microwave & toaster. The washer/dryer combo and two heated drying racks were great. Brian is easy to reach on WhatsApp. The small street that it’s on can feel like a sketchy alley but families live right across and we were never uncomfortable with the people who were around. I might not be comfortable as a solo female, but had no experiences to indicate it would be unsafe. Downsides: The walls need a good clean (especially around the light switches, for example). The kitchen lacked a properly working kettle, oven mitts & tea towels (requested, not delivered). Worst is the shower doesn’t drain. It fills with water immediately & takes >4 minutes to drain, so you have to turn the water off after 2 minutes & you’re standing in drain water. Brian’s assistant plunged it but it didn’t improve, it needs a plumber’s snake. I know it’s an old building but his assistant said and we agree that it’s likely a hair clog. Overall a great stay & would repeat with a working shower drain.

The apartment is nearby the historic center, you don’t need a car because you can walk to everything
It is a great apartment, room enough for 4 persons with a good kitchen and in a quiet neighbourhood, so you can sleep wel. The host is friendly and take good care of your needs Tip: in the winter Some more blancets on the beds

Apartamento muy comodo y bien amueblado, con todo lo necesario para cuatro personas. El propietario, Brian, muy atento y nos dio indicaciones de todo tipo para nuestra estancia de cuatro dias. Como negativo el callejón donde se encuentra la entrada y en el apartamento se agradecerÍa una cortina en la habitación para que no entre la luz de madrugada y que funcione la T.V.

Why they chose this property

This building has a great history behind it. In the 18th century it was a tavern outside of the city wall where travelers and merchants come to rest and replenish themselves before heading out from the city for a long journey or before heading to the city. There is a fresco on the facade preserved from this tavern as can be seen from the photos. This monument has been registered in a list of preservation list as a historical building in Malaga's City Hall. The apartment itself is the typical layout with the two balconies, 2 large bedrooms and large bath to make a comfortable stay.

What makes this property unique

This city has a long history dating back to the time of the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Greeks, Romans and Moors, I try to give the guests to living a bit of the history.
