About the host
Hosted by Kevin McCambridge
Helping guests slow down, unplug, and make memories with the people they love is what we're all about. Our focus is simple: thoughtfully equipped homes, clear communication, and the kind of details that turn a good trip into an annual tradition.
We're a family-run hospitality business managing a small collection of handpicked lake and mountain retreats across Alabama and Georgia — from the clear waters of Smith Lake to the ridgelines of Blue Ridge.
Every property is one we'd happily vacation in ourselves, and we manage each one personally, so when you message us, you're talking to the people who know these homes inside and out.
Why they chose this property
We fell for the setting first — evergreens, mountain light, and the kind of quiet you only find at elevation. Blue Ridge sealed it: one of the Southeast's most charming mountain towns, with trout streams, trailheads, orchards, and a walkable downtown all within easy reach of the cabin. It's the classic cabin escape — close to hiking trails, the Toccoa River, and Aska Adventure Area — without giving up comfort or convenience.
What makes this property unique
Plenty of cabins promise "mountain charm" — Raven's Nest actually delivers it. Four bedrooms and three baths give groups real room to spread out, while the cabin's warm, woodsy character makes every evening feel like the best part of the trip. Its Blue Ridge location puts hiking, fishing, wineries, and downtown dining minutes away, making it as good a basecamp for adventure as it is a place to do absolutely nothing. It's a true four-season retreat: spring wildflowers, summer river days, fall color, and quiet winter escapes.
