We named it "The Duchess" because decor turned out slightly more feminine on this side of the duplex and it's located on Duke Avenue, so we thought that a fun play on the street name!*

We live about 10 minutes away and can be there if needed for emergencies. Otherwise, you will not see us in person.

We are across the street from a Columbia fire station. We have provided sound machines in each bedroom. They seem very quiet with respect to sirens at night pulling out of the station. Very quiet area otherwise.
In addition to federal/state/local laws, and any laws enforced by your booking app, please be mindful and respectful of the following house rules:
-Must be 21 years of age to book. We may request a copy of your ID to verify this as a hotel might do.
- NO Smoking in or on the property! This is a strictly no-smoking property. If you smoke we will charge you an additional cleaning fee of at least $500.
- No parties / large gatherings / loud noise
- No unapproved guests/visitors. Only the guests quoted on the stay are permitted onto the property unless you ask and it's approved. We just need to know who is coming by the property to visit/stay. If you have any unapproved guests, we will charge a fee of $100/unapproved guest, and require the extra guests to vacate the premises immediately.
- Animals must be approved. Let us know who is staying. If you bring an unapproved pet/animal onto the property we will charge a fee of $500 per pet/animal for additional cleaning. We will also require the pet/animal to be immediately removed.
- Unless otherwise agreed upon, you cannot check-in earlier than the noted check-in time and day, or check-out later than the noted check-out time and day. If you attempt to check-in earlier or stay past your check-out time without our permission, there will be an additional fee of $100/hr. We may also call the police for trespassing.
- If you break/damage something, or discover something broken/damaged, please let us know.
- Do not move furniture / appliances / etc.
- Do not unplug important electronics (i.e. appliances, internet, etc)
- Do not unplug, block, or tamper with exterior surveillance cameras
- Nothing but toilet paper in the toilets

If you break any of these rules we may charge additional fees and we reserve the right to terminate your stay without any refunds.
