About this property
Guest House in the Trees w/ Pool & Tennis
This cozy, private guest house, situated on 20 wooded acres was once part of the artist, F. Luis Mora's estate. A peaceful and relaxing place to be with family and friends.
The house is located less than 2 hours from NYC and only 15 mins from both New Milford and Kent.
The house is set in an excellent location to explore the Litchfield Hills, the Housatonic Valley and see some of the best Fall foliage in New England. A prime location for some of the most scenic hikes in the area.
The Guest House
The guest house backs on to 20 wooded acres, with gorgeous views of trees outside of every window. Guests are invited to explore the woods and rediscover features of the estate dating back to the 1920s. The main house is about 100 ft from the guest house - we give our guests space to ensure a private stay.
The Fire Pit & Fireplace
In addition to a fireplace within the guest house, the property offers a fire pit up in the trees. Firewood is provided for use!
The Tennis Court
There is a full size tennis court with tennis racquets, pickleball racquets and balls available for use.
Original Decorative Pools
The property has 2 historic, decorative pools that date back to the 1920s, both about 2 ft deep that are about 200 ft from the house and not fenced.
The Pool & Gazebo
The pool is open Memorial Day Weekend through October 1st. The pool area has a deck for lounging as well as a gazebo and grill that is for sole use of the guests. The large, 40 ft pool has a solar cover to ensure the water stays at an optimal temperature for swimming. The area is fully fenced (with a 4 ft tall fence).
The house is located minutes from both the Housatonic & Tenmile Rivers for fishing and paddling. Extensive hiking trails nearby. New Milford and Kent are each 15 mins away.
