The Villa Mariana with Chef & Staff
Our stunning glass house, featured on House Hunters International, was designed by an award winning architect and sets a standard of quality in beautiful Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. Located in an extremely private area, yet close to the beach and all amenities, and with 6,000 square feet of overall indoor and outdoor living space, this sophisticated and spacious retreat is “one of a kind”.
Concierge Services:
• Assists in planning your stay prior to your visit.
• Arranges airport transfers, your first chef meal, and pre-stocking groceries.
• Handles excursion and tour bookings in advance.
• Greets you upon arrival at the villa.
• Stays in contact throughout your stay to ensure you have everything needed for an amazing vacation.
Housekeeping Services:
• Flor and/or Eliza will be on the property daily from 8 AM to 4 PM (7 days per week) to tidy up the house.
• Laundry service is available upon request.
Property Caretaker Services:
Mauricio and/or Helberth will be available daily (7 days per week) to maintain the property and assist with:
• Luggage handling
• Wildlife spotting (monkeys, sloths, toucans, etc.)
• Opening and closing the house each morning or when you go out.
If more privacy is needed, contact the concierge, and your request will be accommodated.
Chef Services:
• Available for up to two meals per day for up to six days of a seven-day stay (or all days of a five or six-night stay).
• Cost of food is extra.
• A chef’s assistant fee of $300 applies to groups of 9 or more guests.
Location & Setting:
• Situated on over 2 acres of lush, tropical scenery.
• A stunning glass house in the jungle, yet close to the beach.
Wildlife & Nature:
• Daily visits from tiny titi monkeys and capuchin monkeys on the pool decks.
• Frequent sightings of macaws, toucans, and sloths on the property.
Convenience & Accessibility:
• Located just 200 meters from the main road (618) in Quepos/Manuel Antonio.
• The closest restaurant is right outside the front gate to the right—perfect for grabbing local Costa Rican food quickly.
Nearby Beach Access:
• Playa La Macha, a private beach, is directly behind the property. Guests can walk/hike to the beach for breathtaking scenery and a great workout. Typically takes 25-45 minutes, based on physical activity levels.
• All other public beaches are a 3-7 minute drive from the house.
Our private concierge will meet you upon arrival with gate remote controls and keys to the house.
Main House (Base Rate):
• Accommodates up to 12 guests in 4 bedrooms.
• Comfortable for 8 couples if they do not want to share bedroom space.
Main House Sleeping arrangements:
• Master Bedroom: 1 king bed + 1 twin daybed
• Ginger Flower Bedroom: 2 queen beds, which can accommodate 4 guests if sharing.
• Madera Bedroom: 1 king bed (a twin bed can be added to this room with an additional fee for assembly, advance notice required)
• Heliconia Bedroom: 1 king bed
Guest House:
• Can be rented for $400 + tax per night, allowing for up to 16 total guests on the property. Sleeps 5 total.
• Features 2 queen bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, a kitchen, living room, with sleeper loveseat swimming pool, and expansive outdoor deck.
• Steps away from the main house but completely private.
• Never rented separately—only available as an overflow option for the main house guests. Otherwise, it is available for the owners. Three month advance notice required for booking.
Property & Grounds:
• Situated on 2 acres of lush jungle and gardens.
• Gated compound with an electronic entrance.
• Parking available for up to 2 employee vehicles and 2 rental cars.

The Villa Mariana is the most unique home that we have stayed in, from India to Monte Carlo! This home is truly special and known throughout the region as an architectural masterpiece. Not only that, it is also known as the "sexiest villa in Costa Rica". Being a glass house in the jungle with so much nature surrounding you, but yet close to the beach, how unique is that?!
What makes this property unique
From the moment that you pull into the car park and close the electronic gate behind you, you'll realize that you have arrived in paradise. Words cannot describe how beautiful the pathway is that leads to the house. It is truly stunning! Once you make it down the pathway to the house, the massive steel door that you walk through leads to an indoor river within the living room, spilling into the infinity pool. That is just the beginning of what you'll see in this amazing home. If you like wildlife, monkeys are every day visitors to the pool and patio!
