The property was as advertised, very clean, beds were comfortable. The host had great communication. The location is great, walking distance from the metro station and King St. We had a very enjoyable weeks stay!
This house was perfect for our group of 7 adults and 2 kids. The location is great - an easy walk to the shops and restaurants on King Street - and it was so easy to get to from the city. The house itself was clean and had everything we could need for our stay, and the host was very kind and responsive. We look forward to staying here again next time we’re in the DC area.
We had a great stay in Alexandria. It was easy to get to the DC sights and bike trails and we enjoyed walking to dinners. Home was equipped with everything we needed!
Interior of the property was clean but dining table is showing its age. Glad we had our own Allen wrenches because all chairs needed tightening. Exterior needs bush pruning and weed removal. Parking is challenging. Practice parallel parking. Living room can't seat the same number of people that can sleep in the property. Additional living room chairs or a second couch would be nice. Only 2 wash cloths for 6 people. Only one dish towel. The elder members of our group had a hard time with the front yard stairs, there is no hand rail. No hand rail on the backyard stairs either. The backyard light was burned out.
The place was great. 10 minute walk to Metro, Chewish deli next door is a great, easy breakfast. Parking wasn't difficult (if you can parallel park), even with 5-6 spaces closed due to construction. I would bring a sleep mask if you want to sleep in. A lot of windows high up that don't have blinds/curtains, and it can get bright in the morning.
Hi! We had a great stay, thanks for having us! Appreciate the coffee and filters :) Just a heads up that the baseboards could use a quick wipe/scrub. Everything else was very clean, the bathrooms were beautiful! Thanks again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for a girls weekend. Lots of room to spread out and the house is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you need. Located close to shops and restaurants, everything was within walking distance. Would definitely return.
We spent a month here and had a great experience. The house is well appointed and looks to have been recently spruced up. It’s bigger than it looks from the street, and we found it had plenty of space for our family of five. You can’t beat the location: a short walk to King Street and yet it’s on a quiet residential street that doesn’t see too much traffic. And, to boot, there’s a fantastic bagel place right behind the house. Definitely recommend!
