About the host
Hosted by Barbara Schreiber

I was born and grew up in central Texas. I moved to Georgia for work and fell in love with the North Carolina mountains. I am fortunate to have this mountain home that I want to share with others when I'm not able to be there.
Why they chose this property
For work, I live in the city, but I love being able to get away from the hustle and bustle. What I love most is that as long as I bring food, I can park my car and not have to leave. There is plenty in the area to keep my challenged - water, mountains, wildlife sightings, astronomy on clear nights. It also gives me a great opportunity to disconnect from technology.
What makes this property unique
If you want lake and mountain options right outside the door, this is your place! If you want be able to disconnect from technology, this is a great option. Very little traffic.
