Our second year staying here and it was another amazing week! The cabin is gorgeous, clean and provides all the essentials. The host is very friendly and easy to contact. Always a great experience
Cabin was clean and host was very responsive. Great location to feel secluded from the outside world, but close enough to enjoy a nice dinner somewhere on the river or maybe a few spins at a nearby casino. Would definitely stay at this spot again!
Beautiful Cabin with great views to the lake and mountains, two kayaks available with your stay close to Bryson City, water rafting 10 minutes away, my family and I enjoy the stay I will highly recommend and the communication with the host was great.
Beautiful home with an amazing view of the lake. Enjoyed morning coffee with the view and kayaking around the lake in the afternoon. Found a great spot to swim with a rope swing.
The cabin was beautiful, clean, roomy and comfortable. Plenty of room for our family to relax and enjoy the lake view. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. The driveway is steep but doable with all wheel drive. Private, quiet and peaceful. We loved it and highly recommend it!
We had a quick getaway to this wonderful cabin tuck away in the mountains! Our son really enjoyed catching trout out of the lake and the views are great!

Thank you so much for your review. We are thrilled you enjoyed your time in the cabin.
Our family enjoyed our lake stay so much. The cabin was perfect for our group of 6 and had a great porch area to look down at the lake. The kids spent lots of time in the lake fishing and playing. We brought a paddle board with us and along w the provided kayaks, there was plenty to enjoy. We also spent a day on the Nantahala River at the NOC.
Awesome, perfect central location for all of our activities. Property was clean, quiet and peaceful. Would stay here again. It was perfect for my family.

About the host
Hosted by Guy Passmore
Hi there, my name is Guy Passmore and I own the lakefront cabin. I am originally from Atlanta, but spent a significant part of my life growing up in western NC. I've fished, swam, and skied on this lake numerous times in my life, always with family and friends. We love it up there!
After having 4 children, my wife and I decided to build a cabin we could stay in when we visit family a few times each year.
We live in south FL, just north of West Palm Beach.
We love the mountains, especially the area around Queens Lake.
My great-grandmother originally purchased the 120 acre parcel in the early 1930's. She sold approx 100 acres of the property, allowing a dam to be built by the state and create Queen's Creek Lake. This provided electricity to the area for the first time.
Why they chose this property
The lake views are gorgeous all throughout the year. Our favorite times to go are in the summer and winter months. The temps are warm in the summer, but the humidity is low. In the winter, we often get some snow for the kids to play in.
What makes this property unique
We paid attention to the details with our cabin. My wife and I have traveled significant amounts with work and we appreciate great hospitality! This cabin has excellent quality furnishings, with over-size chairs, a leather queen sleeper sofa, super comfortable memory foam mattresses, a hand-made kitchen island and cabinetry with under-lighting, top level wifi connections with the fastest option available in our area. (We are on the Starlink list, coming soon). There are two fire pit areas, one that is lakeside and the other by the front deck of the cabin. We provide a wine fridge that is always stocked with red, white, and bubbles if you want the convenience without having to drive to town for wine.
