About this space Climb aboard your own private jet! This McDonnell Douglas DC-9 has been converted into a luxurious 3-bedroom, 2-bath home, fully equipped with heated floors, a private sauna, and a massive deck built directly onto the aircraft wing.
Whether you are grilling steaks on the wing, watching a movie in "First Class" (the living room), or taking the controls in the original cockpit, this is a once-in-a-lifetime Alaskan experience. Located on a private active runway, you can watch planes land from your window while enjoying total privacy from our other cabins.
The space ✈️ The Jet Layout:
First Class (Living Room): Relax with a big-screen TV and original airplane windows.
The Cockpit: Fully preserved! Sit in the Captain’s chair and snap some photos.
The Kitchen: Full-sized and fully equipped for gourmet meals.
The Wing Deck: A massive outdoor deck built on the wing—perfect for grilling salmon or watching the Northern Lights.
The Sauna: Yes, this airplane has a private sauna to warm up after a snowy day.
🛏️ Sleeping Quarters (3 Bed / 2 Bath):
Master Suite: Spacious and private.
Guest Bedroom: Comfortable queen setup.
"Cargo Class" (Kids Room): A fun, secret hideout located in the belly of the plane! Accessed via a small ladder, this room features a twin mattress and is a hit with children.
📍 Location & Activities:
The Runway: We are located on a 1,900’ private strip. Driving in? We are easy to access via paved, plowed roads (1 hour from Anchorage).
Winter: Cross-country ski right from the door, or access the Big Lake snow machine trails within minutes. Ice fishing and dog sledding are nearby.
Summer: Hiking trails on the property. We also offer air tours, glacier landings, and bear viewing flights directly from the property!
Guest access You have the entire aircraft to yourself!
Entry: Climb the stairs through the private jet bridge.
Laundry: Washer and dryer are located in the entry area.
Parking: Plenty of space for cars or aircraft.
Other things to note
Safety First: This is a real, retired airliner. While we have made it safe and comfortable, please use common sense. Watch for sharp edges on the exterior and be careful when exploring compartments you wouldn't normally see as a passenger.
Communication: We monitor radio frequency (provided upon booking) from 8am-8pm. If you get radio silence, we may be flying—please use the satellite text number provided in the house manual.
House Rules: Strictly NO smoking or vaping anywhere on the 100-acre property ($250 fine).
Guest Count: Please ensure your booking reflects the correct number of guests. Unlisted guests will incur a $50/person fee.
