Dog heaven!

Paws Under The Pines exceeded our expectations! We have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals over the years on the coast, this was the first time we didn't have to pay an arm and a leg to bring our dogs with us! Not only that, but this property has a large fenced yard, a dog room, and other dog friendly amenities that really made us feel at home and that our dogs were actually welcome! Our senior dogs are both 13 now, the short 1-2 minute walk across the road to the beach was perfect for them. And the ramp off the back deck was perfect for our senior citizen pups! This was our first trip with our 8 month old baby, and the home was exceptionally clean (arguably cleaner than our own house!) so I had no reservations about letting him scoot around on the floor. The kitchen was well stocked, and hands down the best stocked coffee bar I've seen in a vacation rental! Beds and bedding were very comfortable. The owner was very kind and messaged us letting us know we could check in early which was so appreciated after our long drive. We highly recommend this rental for anyone looking for a quiet beach and a dog friendly clean house!

Surfing Adventure

Group of 4 life-long friends enjoyed this great property on one of the sunniest 4 days at the coast. Our dachshunds truly loved exploring the backyard. The doggie treats and thoughtful ways our pups were welcomed was delightful. We enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen as we cooked dinner each night. We were able to have time together, surfing lessons and easy access to the beach close by to let pups run. Thank you for a lovely visit.

Everyone loved it!

This place has so much going for it; a short walk to a quiet beach, a short drive to Pacific City, a large hot tub, a ping pong table, an arcade machine, a ton of "analog" games, and all the kitchen appliances you could hope for (and more). The yard is huge - plenty of room for corn hole, ladder ball, etc. It is by far the most complete and well thought out home we have stayed in, and the dogs thought so too!

Home Away from Home

Love love love Paws Under the Pines! We had a wonderful getaway and can’t wait to return. Our nosey 9yo rescue Jack Russell Terrorist gives this home 4 Paws Up- she loved having total yard freedom! So much that she didn’t want to come in, especially when the sun came out lol. Thank you for having a secure yard, just like we have at home, so we didn’t have to worry when she was out enjoying all the sniffs (and giving the neighbor’s dog a kiss through the fence). Super comfy beds, immaculately clean separate spaces to read, crochet, watch TV, or even paint, lounge on the deck, all just the break we needed. And the kitchen and coffee pantry is stocked to the brim! Looking forward to trying out the hot tub and arcade games on our next visit!

Great house, great location and perfect for furry family too

House is beautiful, game room with amazing old video games and ping pong when weather wasn't optimal. Hot tub on a chilly starlit night with sound of the ocean. Fenced yard, ramps for my tiny dogs made their stay safe and new smells galore.I have already booked again for the fall.

Fantastic few days with our puppies at the beach!

We LOVED the very dog welcoming house— from the food bowls to the dog-gelato— and for the humans THE COOKWARE ROCKED! Nice pans, sharp knives, stocked spice cabinet—extraordinary in our experience renting at the coast. Teens enjoyed the ping pong table, proximity to the beach and s’mores at the fire pit. Great spot— we look forward to our next visit!

Puppy Paradise

We came back for a second visit and loved it just as much. We brought a friend and his two puppies. The dogs had the time of their lives and we had a wonderful time. Fabulous Getaway for Humans & Dog

We just finished enjoying a wonderful stay at Paws Under the Pines. After many decades of visits to different vacation rentals on the Oregon Coast, this experience was our best.5 favorite things for the humans: #1 The house, hot tub and outdoor grill are clean. #2 The kitchen is well-stocked plus has nice, functional appliances. #3 The beds are comfortable. #4 The beach is so close, beautiful and uncrowded. #4 The video game machine has old Atari games that made us feel young again. #5 The host contact was very responsive, thorough, professional and even made my special birthday request (a waffle maker) come true.5 favorite things for Eleanor the Dog: #1 A big fenced yard for unencumbered sniffing. #2 Wild rabbits. #3 Excellent beach for fast running. #4 Dog gelato in the freezer gifted by the host (Eleanor didn’t know she loves pumpkin cheddar dog gelato… she does). #5 Dog parents get happy at this vacation rental.

Amazing Home, Amazing Location

We had an absolutely lovely time. All the other reviews talk about the well-stocked kitchen and allow me to reinforce that again! Perfect for vacationers who prefer to cook or grill rather than go out to eat.My senior dogs were literally skipping around the gigantic yard, sniffing for the giant bunnies that roam the neighborhood.

Perfect Dog-Friendly Get Away

We had a lovely time at the Paws under the pines. The house was in a great location- quick drive to Pacific City and a very quick walk to the beach. Wonderful place!!

Great place! Even better than the listing! Location is perfect, plenty of parking for our two large vehicles. Two minute walk to the beach. Beach is very uncrowded with great views if Cape Kiwanda. House was super clean, couldn't even tell that pets were allowed. I have pet hair/dander allergies and I had zero problems at all. Very much appreciated the low toxin load in the house, zero artificial fragrances, zero harsh linen detergents, but still a spotlessly clean house. Beds are super comfortable, plenty of extra pillows and blankets. Kitchen is fully stocked with very nice appliances, pots & pans, dishes and about a dozen different ways to make coffee. Lol. The hot tub is amazing! Looks brand new, extremely clean with a totally tolerable amount of chlorine and a very private deck. Game room looked fun, but we didn't use it. Zero cell service at the house but super fast wifi so zero problem. Cell service works at the beach. Check in was simple and easy, communication with hosts was super kind and efficient. And the rabbits! So many rabbits!! So. Many. Rabbits. We will definitely be back!

Thanksgiving at the beach

We needed a place that took care of our dogs needs and a kitchen we could cook in. This home gave us both. The dogs had a large fenced in yard and just a short walking distance away from the most beautiful beach. The kitchen is a true gourmet kitchen. Loved it

Getaway with girlfriends and dogs

Paws under the Pines was the perfect cozy place for a quick getaway with girlfriends and our 4 dogs . So close to the beach the dogs got to play every day and we enjoyed a weekend of cooking good food in the fully stocked kitchen with everything you might possibly need. We spent our evenings in the hot tub and playing games and doing puzzles. It was exactly what we all needed.

Hidden Gem!

This was our first time staying in the Tierra Del Mar area and Paws Under the Pines did not disappoint! May I say that this was the most well stocked rental we have ever stayed at - it has more than you could ever ask for - and a HUGE plus for being so welcoming to our fur babies! There were so many items in stock for the dogs I almost forgot we were at a vacation rental! It is also clean and well maintained. That being said, I hope people come to respect and maintain it so we can enjoy this place for years to come. The hot tub was a nice reprieve from long walks. Granted we did stay during the bomb cyclone, but that didnt deter us from going out. Watching the neighborhood bunnies go about their days was also sweet. We will definitely stay again! PS. Our pup Bruce says a huge thank you for the doggie gelato!

Lovely and thoughtfully arranged

We spent a rainy weekend with teenagers and a dog. It was a comfortable visit. The kids enjoyed ping pong and games and the hot tub, it was a short walk to the beach, cooking was easy with everything we needed right there. I'm sensitive to scents and had no problems. The study had beautiful light. We hope we can come again.

Great getaway designed around dog owners.

Spent 2 nights with my two dogs and a friend joining. The house was cozy, with many extra dog items included. There were dog towels, treats, bags waiting for us when we arrived, meaning less packing and more vacay. The creatures enjoyed the fenced yard and access to the beach. The humans enjoyed the hot tub, game cabinet and ping pong table (and the beach as well).

A wonderful stay for us and the pets! A+++

This property is a dream for dogs and their owners. A lovely fenced yard with beautiful grounds, huge hot tub and fun clubhouse and game room to hang in when the weather is not cooperating. We had a blast playing the many old school games on the Arcade. Beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is stocked with everything one could need. The dog enjoyed watching the bunnies and all the dog treats. I had to order myself a Whirly Pop popcorn machine AND the bidet when I got home!! We will definitely return!!

Beach Weekend Fun

We had a great time here. We wanted to get away for the weekend with the dogs and kid. This was the perfect location and accommodation! Big house, dog and kid friendly. We loved the ping pong table and board games. Was a quick walk across the street to the beach.

Clean, peaceful, best hot tub ever

We had a wonderful stay at Paws Under the Pines. Everything was as described, beautiful, well-furnished, and clean. Highlights for us were: - The short walk to the beach. Easy to head over multiple times a day and walk back for meal and bio breaks. - The hot tub was the best we've ever seen. - The fenced yard was beautiful and a great place for our toddler to play without fear of running out into the street. - The raised herb garden was lovely to harvest for our meals! - The house itself was pretty easy to toddler-proof during our stay (we just moved a few breakables to upper shelves etc). - Cape Kiwanda and Pacific City are a short drive away, with good restaurants and a small but complete grocery store. Looking forward to our next stay!

Beach House

This house was amazing! This is the first beach rental that actually had everything you need in the kitchen to cook! Even the knives were very sharp! The beds were very comfortable. Our dogs had a very big backyard to play in. The beach is just a short walk across the street. No one was there at the beach. The host was always just a phone call away to help if needed! Would recommend this house to other dog families! Thank you for sharing your house with us!

Pause with Paws

My Boys and I, two terriers, enjoyed a comfortable and accommodating weekend at Paws Under the Pines. A fenced yard provided security when on the property. With the ocean beach just across the street The Boys had plenty of freedom to run through the sand. We will be back to enjoy the comforts of this place especially arranged to cater to dogs and their humans.

We're a native Oregon couple that fell in love with Pacific City, and more specifically, the small community of Tierra Del Mar. This is our second home, and we want to share it with you.

What makes this property unique

We have a fenced backyard and dedicated room for your furry friends, a state of the art hot tub, and a very well-appointed kitchen. We have a chef's garden with herbs and berries. The property is in reach of all amenities, but feels private and borders on a national forest on one side and the coast a block away on the other. Ocean fishing? Yes. River fishing? easy, just a few minutes away. Surfing? We got that. Room to park a RV or boat? Absolutely. Charge your EV? Of course. Let your hound explore the yard? Necessary! Single-level coastal living? Grandma deserves the coast, too. <3
