The historic charm of this pioneer home will surely enhance your Manti experience! Built in 1851 with the same rock as the temple, yet fully updated for comfort. Come stay in one of the State's oldest homes! 1 block from the Temple property (2 blocks from the temple). 1 block from the high school, swimming pool & fairgrounds. Great location! Located near Manti Canyon-a great access to Skyline Drive. Manti is ATV friendly so you can leave directly from the cottage on your ATV.
This is a perfect home for honeymoons or anniversaries. Also for larger groups don't forget to check out the Cottage's sister Property: The Manti Manor-an 1871 rock house located just kiddy corner from the cottage. A perfect combination for youth groups and larger family gatherings that might need two houses yet having perfect proximity to each other. See that calendar on VRBO Under Manti Manor.
This home won the 2015 Utah Heritage Foundation award.

This property was originally built in 1851! Fully restored and upgraded while staying true to its pioneer roots. It is about a two minute walk to the Manti temple. The owners were more than generous with our checkout time and obviously take great pride in this historic home. The home easily fit 10 adults. We highly recommend it!
We absolutly loved our stay and Rabecca was a lovely hostesses. They have done a fantastic job of Preserving the original feel and decore of this pioneer home.
Historical cottage with the expected creaky old uneven floors, but made comfortable with air conditioning, modern kitchen and bathrooms, and linens, towels, and kitchen items. Check in was easy and the owner communicated quickly through VRBO. There was plenty of space for our family and for extended family members to come gather for dinner and conversation. We appreciated the 2.5 bathrooms. Information on use of the cottage is clearly spelled out in a binder and on small signs. Very convenient to the Manti Temple. Would stay here again.
The Manti Cottage is a comfy place to stay. Much better than any hotel stay. The history of the place and town is such a wonderful added bonus for this history buff. We can't wait for our next stay!
We stayed at this sweet property with our youth group to see the Temple. It was full of character and charm! Had everything we needed and loved walking right outside the door and seeing the beautiful Manti Temple! We loved the special touches of history for the house as well… gave us a great connection to the past.
We enjoyed this house in Manti, plenty of beds for our group. The house was so close to the temple, the kids loved the goats out back. The house was clean, just the upholstery furniture in the family room could use a good deep cleaning. We appreciated the pioneer feel, well stocked cabinets, and warmth as we stayed on some extremely cold days. I would warn guests that the staircase is narrow and not possible to navigate for elderly.
We have stayed at this home before. We came back to visit Manti and just love the historic nature and feel of this home. The property was clean and the owner was easy to work with. Thanks!

Beautifully restored 1851 home offers unique experience. Meet the owners who shared more of the history and extended our checkout time so we could enjoy a relaxing weekend with a sister I rarely get time with. We will be coming again.
Great place to stay near Temple, great history of the home provided, very vintage. Everything we needed was provided. Would stay there again. There was plenty of beds. Cards to play, movies to watch, popcorn provided. Win-win‼️
The house was amazing! We loved reading about the history on the notes throughout the house! It was extra special when we returned after dark to find the Christmas lights on! ❤️ We will stay again!

My wife and I live next door with our 7 children. I manage a local bank and love small town Utah! You will too. We were married in the Manti Temple. I direct the Warriers each year in the Mormon Miracle Pageant ( 120 teenage boys:)
Why they chose this property
I loved the history of this home! Built in 1851 it is the oldest house in Manti and one of the oldest in the state. I was drawn to this little place. Our family lived here for one year as we built our new house on the same property.
What makes this property unique
In this house you have unique proximity to the temple, an authentic stay in an actual pioneer home, yet full comforts you'd expect in a vacation home!
