Big Riverfront Cabin #5 on the James! Sleeps 12, #5 of 5 Cabins
We can't wait to host you at The Nest (Cabin #5) at James River Landing!
Nestled along the banks of the James River, just one block from downtown Galena, MO, you'll find an inviting retreat that blends the serenity of nature with the convenience of nearby amenities.
James River Landing cabins are elevated on stilts to offer stunning river views and to provide a unique experience of staying right above the water's edge. The Nest is the spacious Main Cabin and can sleep up to 12 people.
The river is literally your backyard. Select outfitters can shuttle you upriver so you can float back to your cabin—or simply relax on the back deck and take in the sights and sounds of nature. Prefer to stay dry? Enjoy a peaceful stroll, watch wildlife, or unwind by the water’s edge.
There are 4 other 1-bedroom cabins which sleep 4 people. Rent a few cabins for a family reunion or gathering of friends. Float and picnic together but sleep in your private cabin, connected by a common deck, steps away from the riverbank.

We had a wonderful stay at The Nest! We were only there one night but it was the perfect place to stay after a wedding. We got the chance to stay with friends we haven’t seen in a long time and The Nest provided the perfect place to catch up. 10/10 recommend staying there!

We are so glad you brought your family to enjoy the cabin. We would love to host you back anytime.
What a peaceful retreat after busy people-filled days in Branson. The owners were extremely attentive, check-in and out was smooth and easy. I would say the upstairs queen bedroom is a loft area, not necessarily a bedroom as there is no door, but that wasn't a problem for us. The room with a door upstairs is the one with bunk beds and a queen bed. 100% skipping rocks on the river with your kiddos in the sunset beats hotel pools every day! We will certainly be staying here again for our future SDC getaways.
Several members of my extended family came in for Thanksgiving. We stayed in the large cabin (#5) totalling 5 persons: 2 couples and 1 single adult. It was close to town for breakfast and/or lunch. Our family in Galena, was a quick ten minute drive away. We had a lovely stay here. Even though it was November and quite chilly , the cabin was very cozy and clean. Even though the weather was overcast at this time of year, the view from the balconies overlooking the James River were beautiful. I hope to return in warmer weather to enjoy the activities on offer then. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils and I appreicated being able to make coffee each morning with the supplies available in it.Caroline was my contact online for advanced questions and Sherry available on site for anything we might need after moving into the cabin with plenty of additional bathroom and bedroom supplies. Both were prompt and helpful with all my questions. I think this would be great for families to stay in. More than 5 adults may be difficult given that the two bathrooms have two tubs and one shower between them. I look forward to coming back again!
