Historic Harkers Island Bungalow

Stay comfortably on Harkers Island at this 2-bedroom house. You will have the house to yourself, along with all of the amenities. This charming property features 1 queen bed, 1 full/twin bunk bed, a cozy living room with new smart TV’s in every room, couches with recliners, and a well-equipped renovated bathroom with tub and shower, also a great outdoor shower. Enjoy all of the amenities of this classic Island home including heat/ac, full kitchen with a dining room table and breakfast bar, nice furniture, charcoal grill, and WiFi during your stay. We have plenty of parking for your boat and a couple vehicles. Also spend your evenings watching boats go by from the back deck with a view of the Core Sound. Huge back yard for kids and/or your pet to run and play away from the road. 5 minute drive from public boat ramp, core sound waterfowl museum and Cape Lookout, Shackleford banks Ferry’s. Immerse yourself amongst the locals and the tradition of this Island and the wonderful people that make it wonderful. Our cottage is about a 20 minute drive to Historic Beaufort and all of the shops and restaurants and about 25 minutes to the Morehead City Waterfront. There are many church’s and a couple good local restaurants within minutes of this home. We look forward to hosting you at our place.

This was my first ever Vrbo rental and it did not disappoint. The house and location was the perfect getaway with my two children. If you prefer a small vacation town over the hustle and bustle of a typical shore town or resort, then I highly recommend Harkers Island. The host, Greg and Shelby, were great and made the cottage feel like my own. Any question I had was answered within minutes. Again, this was the perfect house and destination for my one week get-away

Good home base for exploring

Simple, comfortable accommodation that's a great base for exploring the area. Ferries to Shackleford Banks and Cape Lookout are a short drive... Little further to Atlantic Beach or Morehead City areas. Great spot!

Great little cottage for me and my husband and our doodles.

It’s so hard to find pet friendly properties but this one was perfect. Beautiful little cottage and walking distance to the water. Great location. Right in the middle of everything on the island. Our host was very accommodating. The cottage was furnished with everything we needed. We had a great trip.

Great getaway on Harkers Island

Bungalow was spotless and spacious and decorated so beautifully with nautical theme throughout. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need even a margarita machine! Bathroom is small but has a deep bathtub that was so nice to soak in, wonderful shower head, water pressure is good & plenty of hot water. Back yard is good sized for my dog and back deck is nice

Perfect Weekend

This is the second time we have stayed in the perfect island bungalow. It’s is so well appointed, extremely clean, beds are very comfortable, shower is great, and decorated so cute! The owners are super nice and communicate well. They even allowed us to check in early and check out late on our last day! This made the weekend perfect as we didn’t need to plan activities around check in time or check out time. We highly recommend this vacation rental the next time you plan to visit Harker’s Island.

An amazing experience very close to the fishhook restaurant. Absolutely recommend that restaurant property is located in a great location, peaceful relaxing close to the ferry. Nice big yard very clean highway recommend.

The property has really nice boat parking which is always a problem for us normally. It was a good price for the location and the owner took care to put things like coffee and some small touches that were appreciated. The location was perfect for us as boaters. It’s not a huge house but everything worked just fine and we had no problems. We really appreciated the easy of both early check in and the check out was very easy because they have a cleaning service come behind you. We would stay here again.

This is a lovely property, convenient to both the beach and ferry. It’s very clean and well appointed. Beds are comfortable and the outdoor shower is a real plus! The host is extremely responsive. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay!
