We had a great time and would love to come back again! Loved the outdoor firepit and sauna too. We took our own kayak out on lake and had blast. The place was clean and has everything as advertised. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay at this cozy lake house and the sauna was an extra treat. The house was spotless and the location was perfect for our trip from Virgina to visit family. We would definitely stay here again.
Think disconnect was this was just me not realizing drawbacks of renting a summer place, likely first people in for the summer season. So house was VERY musty and needed to be aired out. I would have run a dehumidifier in there before renting. Overall clean. Small things to make it better. TV high up on wall in narrow space difficult to watch. Not sure what you can do there but just didn't work for viewing. Heater/AC on wall by slider needs servicing as moisture inside house, left on drywall when running heat so we just used portable radiating heaters. Good backup so ty. Black sheets and floppy pillows in bunkbed room. That was the deal killer for me. Kind of an ugh. Sink so close to the toilet should be fixed. Odd.Liked the outside sitting area. Nicely appointed. Good new fridge. Nice entryway. Quiet neighborhood. Again, likely first in that season and more of a summer place could be disconnect on expectations.
Check in was smooth and the place is in a beautiful location. It’s pretty unique as far as rentals go. There were a few issues with the information not being on the listing. But overall, communication was pretty prompt and problems were resolved quickly.
If your looking for a nice place around the area, I’d recommend this one
Property was exactly as described. Very clean, modern and appears to be brand new. We enjoyed our stay very much, especially the sauna. We golfed at Farmstead Golf Course in Lafayette, which was reasonably-priced and lovely. We also loved eating at Stonewood Tavern, which is nearby. The neighborhood was quaint and quiet, though not as walkable as I had hoped. The road to reach the side streets is a bit narrow and winding, so I had to be very cautious due to all the blind curves. Minor quibbles would be that the metal seats for the small dining table were very uncomfortable and a bit too high for the table. Also, to watch tv, you'd have to tilt your head sideways and upward, which is also a bit uncomfortable, but unavoidable due to space constraints. We still enjoyed our stay very much and would return again.

LISTED AS "PREMIER". RESERVATION REPLY WAS QUICK. ONLY STREET PARKING AVAILABLE-NO DRIVEWAY & GARAGE IS FULL OF JUNK. UNLEVEL ENTRY STAIRS, NO RAILING. INTERIOR WAS CLEAN & CUTE. TEMPERATURE WAS SWELTERING AND TOOK 2 HOURS TO COOL ONCE A/C TURNED ON. ONLY CLOSET TO HANG CLOTHING WAS IN THE ENTRY AREA AND CONTAIN ALOT OF JUNK THAT WE HAD TO REMOVE. BDRM CLOSET(1 HAD A DOOR, 1 NO DOOR) BOTH CLOSETS HAD SHEVES BUT 1 CLOSET WAS FULL OF STUFF. BUNK BED HAD NO ACCESS TO THE TOP BUNK-WE HAD TO LIFT OUR DAUGHTER UP TO REACH IT. ONCE IN THE TOP BUCK, SHE HAD TO WATCH OUT FOR THE CEILING FAN IF SHE SAT UP ON THE EDGE-EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! THE BATHROOM WAS CLEAN AND CUTE BUT WOULD BE VERY SMALL IF YOURE A LARGE PERSON. THE KITCHEN WAS CLEAN AND OK BUT THE PANTRY WAS FULL OF JUNK. THE OUTDOOR AREA WAS FILTHY, THE DECK IS FULL OF GREEN MOLD, THE CUSHIONS ARE DIRTY AND SOME JUNK LEFT ON THE DECK. PART OF THE GRILL IS BROKEN-SO WE DIDNT USE IT. THE PATIO AREA IS CUTE. THE ENTIRE PROPERTY FRONT TO BACK IS OVERGROWN WITH WEEDS-MAKING IS DANGEROUS TO GET TO THE LAKE AREA-THERE IS NO VISIBLE PATHWAY AND SLOPE OF THE YARD MAKES IS SLIPPERY WITH THE OVERGROWTH. I MADE IT TO THE PEDAL BOAT, BUT THAT TOO WAS FILTHY. IT IS SUMMERTIME, OUTSIDE MAINTANENCE IS EXPECTED. WE WERE HERE FOR A FUNERAL AND WE THOUGHT THIS PLACE WOULD PROVIDE SOME PEACEFUL DOWNTIME AND BETTER THAN A HOTEL. THESE PHOTOS ARE OLD AND I WISH THAT I COULD UPLOAD MY PHOTOS. VERY DISAPPOINTED! PS...WE HAD TO LOOK FOR TOWELS TOO

We booked this property for the Fourth of July holiday expecting a relaxing weekend, but our stay ended after less than 24 hours due to a prolonged power outage. We checked in after 5:00 PM on July 3, and around 3:00 PM on July 4, severe storms knocked out the power. We completely understand that the storm and outage were beyond the host's control, and we are not blaming them for the weather. However, what happened afterward—and how the situation was resolved—is why we cannot recommend this property. A few things to note: No screen doors to allow for safe ventilation. We also noticed that nearly every neighboring property had generators running, suggesting that extended outages may not be out of the norm.We decided to leave because there was no indication of when power would be restored. We paid for a 3 day stay and only stayed less 24hrs, yet the host refunded only half which felt unreasonable and unfair. We understood circumstances were out of both of our control, so why not just be fair and split the cost evenly? Just something to consider if you book and your trip ends up getting cut short for reasons out of anyone’s control.
