Great Place!

Great location

Great location couple blocks from the beach, 10 mins from Downtown. Fit our family nicely. Only negative is no Ac, but with the windows open you do get a nice breeze. Would stay again.

Absolute Gem in the Heart of Ocean Beach

We absolutely adored our stay! The home was immaculate and so comfortable and close to all the downtown shoppes and eats. Checking in was easy! Make sure you bring your walking shoes so you can explore the beautiful neighborhood.

Perfect beach spot for a girls weekend

This cottage was a fantastic place to stay for 3 friends and I. It is in a perfect location, super clean, and Chris could not have been more helpful. We loved learning about the history of the house and spent every night hanging on the back deck. Walking distance to everything in Ocean Beach, we would definitely stay again!

I would highly recommend this property. If you are considering San Diego for your vacation.

Parking may be an issue. However it is a central location to most of the to do things in San Diego. As well as the airport.

Magical house in great neighborhood

We had the most wonderful week at this house, it couldn’t have been more perfect! I stayed with my husband, our ten year old, and my mother, and the house was fantastic. It’s absolutely beautiful, I’m not sure the pictures really do it justice, and the neighborhood was so relaxed and friendly and an easy walk to the beach. I was thrilled with our trip and would love to stay here again!

Amazing Experience!

We rented the Beach Bungalow for the Memorial Day weekend. The house is immaculate, well appointed and relaxing. We loved the historic element of the home (beautifully restored) with lovely landscaping, a great outdoor area to entertain plus all the modern amenities of home. The location is excellent, you can walk or bicycle to just about anything you need or want (beach access, restaurants, activities, etc.). We rarely took our car anywhere. Ocean Beach is a unique community and we found all the locals the be very friendly. The owner is great to work with and we really enjoyed our stay. We had adults and kids with us and there is something to do for everyone. We will be back, this is our new find of a place to stay whenever in the San Diego area.

A unique and delightful place to stay in Ocean Beach

From the moment we drove up to the house we knew this was going to be a great place. The yard is very well kept and how the whole property is laid out, especially with the lovely old trees, gives a feeling of seclusion. The house is very clean and with my family of six we were very comfortable, never feeling crammed in. Only a few minutes walk to the beach and pretty much everything else we were able to do everything in Ocean Beach by walking, from shopping to eating to just wanting to take a stroll on the beach. A lot of great local eats to be had as well as live local music along Newport Avenue. When we wanted to leave the area the freeway was only a few minutes away. Chris was an outstanding host, always available to answer questions and help us out whenever something came up, no matter how small. You can tell how much he loves this property in how well maintained it is and the attention to his guests he provides. If we are ever planning on staying in the San Diego area again we will most certainly look to use this property again.

An OB Thanksgiving

Absolutely our best thanksgiving! Staying in OB over the holiday and adding a few extra days to check out colleges was absolutely wonderful and this home made it all the better!!!

Nice place, good location close to beach and restaurants, except area is in the flight path of the airport so you get a wake-up call every morning. Was able to find parking every night. Needs martini glasses.

The owner of this property met us and checked us in. The Bungalow was perfect for the five of us. Outstanding property and owner. His knowledge of the area was excellent. I would rent this property again.

Beautiful house in a great neighborhood

Beautiful, historic home in a lively neighborhood. Houses in the neighborhood are close together, but this property features an unusually large yard and the wrap around deck with patio offers a degree of privacy. Home is flooded with natural light - relaxing and calm environment to return to after a day out. Easy walk to the beach, stores, restaurants. Airport is an easy 8min drive, with downtown neighborhoods easily accessible as well. It's a vibrant and busy community, so do expect the usual accompanying street noise. Out family also lives in an active city neighborhood so we weren't bothered at all. As a host Chris was super friendly and helpful; he met us at check-in and was very accommodating with his flexibility on timing.

Ocean Beach July 4th

Beautiful property., very historic. Parking was challenging but it is close to lots restaurants and the beach. We met Chris (the owner and he was very helpful in getting us set up. One minor issue is (he) need to have blinds in the second bedroom window. Our overall experience was great.

Fun, Unique Space

Just as advertised. This is a cool stand alone home in a great neighborhood. Walkable to beach and great dining. Host was terrific and property was a great oasis to relax. I would definitely stay here again.

There is no other community like Ocean Beach. It's like walking back in time to the way California beach towns use to be in the 60's and 70's.

Delicious Banana Bread French Toast, breakfast burrito's and unique coffee stands are a block away in the morning for breakfast.

The best sandwich's in San Diego are a block away in the other direction for lunch.

The world's best fish taco's and a multitude of other fine dining and unique eating establishments are located a few blocks away in Ocean Beach.

What makes this property unique

I love parking my car on Friday and never getting into it again until Monday morning. Everything you need is a short walk or beach cruiser ride away.
