This delightful two-bedroom, one-story home with a front porch and side patio is an absolute gem. The unit is spotless and inviting, ideally located near downtown and within easy walking distance of great hiking trails and restaurants, yet tucked away on a quiet, tree-lined street. The location truly couldn’t be better, the amenities are excellent, and the host is exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. It’s also just an easy 20-minute drive to several beautiful beaches. Hard to beat—we would absolutely stay here again!
This is a sweet house in a great neighborhood in SLO. We came into town for a family wedding and were able to walk to all of the in town events. This was a fantastic and comfortable home and the owner is very communicative.
Our family stayed in this darling home for several days while visiting SLO. The home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring the town. Would love to return!

In SLO on business turns to a vacation on Garden Street
An exceptional find in SLO. We are in SLO regularly on business and staying here on Garden St. is a treat, Very clean and comfortable with a friendly and gracious owner.
The location is perfect, in a nice quiet neighborhood. The owner is a generous and kind person. She would leave us treats periodically. We have stayed here previously and the property was just as comfortable as before.

Home Away , Of Course it is, or at least it Feels Like Our Home Away
We travel often and some time for extended periods, so having a home away is a real treat. When we are here we feel at home, walk to work or just out for a hike and dinner downtown. Very clean, friendly, comfortable and convenient.
Jamie, or host welcomed us when we arrived offering wine, cheese and a warm fireplace lit along with suggestions for dining and shopping in SLO. Her place felt as cozy and comfortable as if we were at home. The location was walking distance to downtown dining and shopping. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting SLO!
My 3 girlfriends and I are all Cal Poly alumni and had such a wonderful weekend back in slo!! We had such a lovely stay and cannot recommend this place enough! Such cute decor and well stocked with great front porch swing and patio area. Our host was so kind and communicative, and the location is perfect!
Lovely, clean home walking distance to downtown SLO. We took advantage of all of the vintage touches -cooking on the vintage stove and eating on the beautiful patio, watching classic movies on VHS tape and making sure we were kind to rewind.
Easy check-in and Jamie was very communicative and helpful throughout our stay. We had a wonderful visit and would definitely stay again.
I cannot say enough good things about Jamie or this property!! The home and grounds couldn't be more charming! This property is not your typical rental. With it's carefully curated furnishings and thoughtful touches, it feels like you're staying at the home of a friend. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal and the common areas are wonderful for relaxing at the end of the day. The courtyard is lovely for coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. Jamie is very attentive. She provided excellent communication and recommendations. Her cleaning staff does a fantastic job as well. 5+ stars!! I look forward to returning again!
This is a wonderful home within walking distance to downtown SLO with lots of restaurants, shops, the creek, the mission . . .Jamie has done a great job of fixing up the home and outside area. I'm always drawn to a home that has a comfortable outside seating/dining area and this one is very comfortable and relaxing. The bedroom and living room are very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and has lots of extras. The home is light and airy. Jamie has added many special touches and is easy to work with. We rode our bikes to Avila Beach on the Bob Jones Trail. Fairly easy 20 mile round trip with a few hills. We also enjoyed wineries in Avila, SLO and Paso Robles and well as kicking around the Cal Poly campus. A great long weekend get-away.
Very clean 2BR house with a cozy living room and separate dining nook. 'Vintage'-feeling appliances in the kitchen to go with the beautiful and meticulously clean oven and stove top. The built-in desk in the bedroom hall was useful and the bedrooms didn't feel cramped at all. Bathroom is also on the more spacious side, comparable to most bathrooms in older homes. There were two of us for our stay and it felt very roomy and the management communication and engagement was great.
Wonderful stay over the Thanksgiving weekend at this cute home. Very well maintained and clean. Stocked with everything we needed to have a small thanksgiving feast and spend some quality family time. Easy short walk to downtown. Jamie was very nice and communicative. Look forward to staying here in the future.
We stayed for 2 weeks at this lovely house. We enjoyed the short walk to downtown, the front porch swing, and court yard. We would love to stay here again. Jamie was a great host, responsive to questions, and was onsite in the back unit during our stay.

About the host
Your host
I am an avid world traveler which is my passion. When not traveling, I enjoy the 'SLO' life and spend my time with hobbies like cooking, designing, and hiking the surrounding hills. I am happy to be of assistance if needed and/or be your concierge.
Why they chose this property
I chose this home because of its sunny rooms and ideal location to walking downtown and nearby outdoor activities and beaches. I love being able to look out and see San Luis Mtn. from the front porch swing. The weather is almost always perfect and there is always something fun to do in this area.
What makes this property unique
All within walking distance, there are great restaurants, tapas and coffee bars, boutiques, Farmers' Market (Thursdays), summer concerts in Mission Plaza and movie houses (The Palm Theater shows foreign films!). But if you venture out a little further, we have incredible day trips such as: Morro Bay for whale watching and other sea life, Big Sur for world class vistas, Avila Beach for surfing and swimming and sunbathing. Even Santa Barbara is just only an hour and a half away! But the best part of this house is coming back from a great outing and relaxing with friends or family in the cheerful, cozy atmosphere, or waking to the sound of the Mission chimes downtown.
