Perfect location for walking to everything. Timothe was very helpful and the apartment was very clean with a well equipped kitchen. Be mindful that the apartment is 70 steps up, but once up, the view of old Dijon is lovely.
This cozy, well-appointed apartment is located on a quiet street in Dijon, but steps away from excellent restaurants and the city center. I highly recommend!
The location of this apartment cannot be surpassed! Everything we wanted to see and do in Dijon seemed to be a 10 minute or less walk from the property. The apartment is lovely, well furnished and comfortable. Our hosts and the property manager were delightful, and so very helpful! As noted in the description, there are a lot of stairs, but 4 sexagenarians managed quite well. I highly recommend!
I really can’t say enough about this beautiful artist’s flat. It was my home base for three wonderful weeks. I didn’t want to leave. Everything is a 5 - 15 minute walk from the apartment - including the train station which offers frequent and fairly inexpensive trips to the smaller towns of Burgundy to the south. Dijon itself is a delight with amazing architecture, museums, shopping, and food. We were prepared for the 70 steps up (except I did overpack which was not necessary because there is a handy washer and dryer right in the apartment) and appreciated the workout after all the fantastic degustation meals we had. Booking and communication with the property manager was easy and response time was super quick. It was an amazing stay.
Phenomenal location, beautiful & spacious (photos do not do it justice), well-equipped, and immaculate! But, front bedroom very noisy — impossible to sleep with window open & ac only small unit in living room. Only one fan provided although two really necessary (one for each bedroom). There are several restaurants/bars nearby plus some street noise. Also lots of stairs which may be of concern, but they are wide & well lit.

Thanks for your review Caroline. I'm sorry about the night noise. You are right, it can be intrusive in summer at night with the windows open. We always close the windows at night when there. There is a portable air cooler in the storage cupboard, in addition to the fan and air-conditioner, but I forgot to mention it to you. I'll also put another fan in the apartment.
Julia and Tom were very communicative before and during our stay. It’s an older unit, in a great walkable neighborhood. The reason for the lower rating was that the owner knew of a temporarily fixed leaky ceiling and still put the unit for rental during rainy season. We first walked into a wet floor by the bed and we thought it was maybe condensation from the heater. Then we were suprisingly awakened in the morning with sounds of heavy water drops next to the bed. We quickly grabbed buckets and towels to refrain further water damage. When I reached out to Tom, he shared he knew of this and that there was a temporary fix. They were able to get someone come by the next day for repairs. But as a couple being awakened from water droplets for two mornings during vacation, is and was extremely disappointing. Hopefully the ceiling will be permanently fixed soon for the next guests.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. It's hard to find brand new buildings in the 'old town' of Dijon and the apartment is fully renovated. I now have photo evidence that the repairs have been completed properly and the leak has been fixed. I was told the repairs had fixed the small leak and maybe using the second bedroom might have been advisable. The bottle of fine burgundy wine we asked the concierge to provide was our way of saying sorry.
Beautiful apartment with great kitchen, living room and two comfortable bedrooms. Washer AND dryer, good internet. Host Julia was fantastic. Top floor with very pretty views. Stairs with luggage requires a meaningful effort but apartment worth the exertion.

Julia advised me that Richard & his family were responsive and truly very friendly. I highly recommend guests like them—it would be a pleasure to host them again!
My husband and I took our 21 year-old son to Burgundy for his birthday and this perfectly situated large apartment was a great home base to explore Dijon and more. The owners and local host Tim were super helpful. It's right in the center of it all so without a car we were able to walk to the local markets and shops right down the street. Only caveat is there is not much to do on Sunday, but we did manage to make our way to the amazing Musee des Beaux-Arts which is open Sunday and always free. We would go back in a minute.
We spent 2 weeks in this apartment and found that it met all of our expectations. It is in the old city, near many of the tourist attractions, but on a quiet street. Being on the top floor kept the street noise to a minimum. We had great communication with Tim, the apartment manager, who was very responsive to our questions and requests. The kitchen was fully functional; we visited the Dijon market frequently and were able to prepare several meals in the apartment. We would definitely love to rent this apartment again!
Accueil impeccable.
Gîte très bien situé dans un bel immeuble ancien avec des grandes pièces avec de hauts plafonds. Calme jour et nuit. Très bien équipé. J’y retournerai avec plaisir !
We enjoyed our five-day stay at the apartment and could not recommend it enough. The communication, check-in, and check-out process were seamless. The location of the apartment is perfect for exploring Dijon on-foot. A hidden perk is the Monoprix which is a sort walk from the apartment and makes for easy grocery shopping and picking up last-minute items.
This apartment has it all, starting with the amazing view of the rooftops and cathedral out of the large casement windows in the living room and bedroom. It has nice high ceilings and hardwood floors. The beds are comfortable, not only the queen bed in the main bedroom, but also the 2 singles in the other one. The kitchen is well laid out with a great stove/oven combo, a good cold fridge, compact microwave and a Nespresso coffee maker. With a Monoprix grocery and wine store a three minute walk away, and the thrice weekly market at Les Halles (10 minutes max), stocking the kitchen is a breeze. The hot water in the shower is really hot, and it never went cold on us, even though the hot water tank looks small. Be ready to climb 3 flights of stairs to this apartment, but the reward at the top - being the view - makes it all worth it. The neighbourhood is a delight, from the excellent restaurant, Le Piano Qui Fume (make reservations) across the street to the free electric City bus that picks you up right in front. There are so many of Dijon’s cultural delights within easy walking distance, making the location ideal. Finally, the property manager, Tim, is readily available to help with any issues, speaks excellent English and is a charm to deal with. Thank you Tom Armstrong; should we return to Dijon, we will happily stay in your Apartment Bonnard again.
We loved our stay in Dijon and the view from the windows is simply stunning! The apartment is big, bright and airy and had everything we needed for our stay. We stayed during a bit of a heatwave and while it was very hot, the three fans and the breeze blowing through the apartment provided some welcome relief for us all! We don't mind city noise but it would be remiss of me not to mention the noise of the street below from the front bedroom. Saying that, we were choosing to sleep with the windows open... Both Tom and Bea were lovely to deal with - and did I mention the view...!!!

Spacious aprtment in Central Location
We spent 7 days at Apartment Bonnard in April. The apartment is very spacious and bright and comfortably furnished. The location is ideal for exploring Dijon, being just a few moments from the pedestrianized streets of the city center. We found the apartment fairly quiet in spite of the neighbouring bars and restaurants. It has easy access to the train station - quite walkable if you don't have too much luggage (15-20 minutes). We appreciated the small touches like milk and other beverages in the fridge. Bea, who manages the apartment, was very accommodating and helpful. We highly recommend Apartment Bonnard.

Dijon apartment
The apartment in Dijon was in a fantastic location, well equipped and very comfortable. We really enjoyed it! But just a heads up that the 3 flights of stairs were significant (that's the only reason it got only 4 stars). Also, getting to the location was a bit tricky because of new bollards blocking some of the entrances.

Wonderful apartment in the heart of Dijon!
We had a great stay in this apartment in a fabulous location in Dijon. The apartment was just as described with plenty of space for our family of four. The view was amazing and the neighborhood had all the things we were looking for - markets, restaurants, historical sites - all just steps away from the front door. We didn't mind the stairs - the view was worth every step! For light sleepers - the front bedroom was a bit loud, even for us city folks on Saturday night but the other nights were fine and the back bedroom was much quieter. We've stayed in a number of apartments in Europe and this one was one of the best! We would definitely stay there again. Our 8 year old son's favorite part of the stay was eating escargot, looking at the sunset from the front window and the owl tour.. Thanks Tom for a memorable stay in Burgundy!

Parfait.
Overall we loved the apartment. It was clean, spacious, well kitted out and in a great location. The only thing stopping it getting a 5th star was the stairs. With two of us in our 60's it was a bit of an endurance :) I'm only sorry we didn't have longer to try out the restaurants right on the street below.

Beautiful apartment in a charming French city!
This is a beautiful apartment, well-appointed, located within minutes walk of all of central Dijon. The bedrooms are comfortable, the bathroom (separate toilet) is modern, and the kitchen is basic but well equipped. In any case, cooking for yourself is definitely not necessary in Dijon, but the market (Les Halles) is inspiring. There is also a supermarket within a short walking distance.
There are good restaurants within steps of the front door of the apartment, and a Michelin two-star (William Frachot) is a five minute walk.
Note that if stairs are an issue for you, this apartment is at the top of three flights of them. They ARE wide and gentle!
The owner, Tom, is extremely helpful with advice about living in Dijon, and responds promptly to questions.
I would not hesitate to rent this apartment again, and would recommend it to anyone needing a place to stay in Dijon.

It was lovely to host you both and we would welcome you back to Apartment Bonnard anytime in Dijon. Having such wonderful guests as yourselves makes the whole 'hosting' experience a pleasurable and rewarding experience.
Tom and Dagmar's apartment was the favourite apartment for our family of 2 adults and 2 children during our European holiday. We loved the generous space of the two bedrooms and the living area and the deluxe furnishings - superb quality mattresses, beds and linen. The location allowed us to easily walk to the train station for a day trip to Beaune, 3 minute walk to the Monoprix for shopping and only 5-10 mins to the Dijon market and wider shopping area.
In the opposite direction, i loved that I could run along Promenade de l'Ouche which is alongside the canal and by surprise I came across Lac Kir. This find then prompted the hiring of bikes and a family bike ride to the lake plus continuation of our ride along the canal path (very flat and easy for all ages) to a few other towns. I would definitely stay in Dijon again to fully experience French living and would also stay and recommend to others this apartment. Magnifique!

Perfection in Dijon!
We loved loved this jewel of an apartment right in the heart of Dijon! It is beautifully decorated, comfortable and cozy. We arrived by car and parked it as directed in the city lot close by and did not move it until we checked out. Everything you need is within a block or two of the apartment. The local bake shops are fabulous so I was grateful for the exercise I got going up and down the stairs!
The history in that area of town is extensive and fascinating! This apartment is truly a gem and I would stay there again next week if i could!

Great value in a good location
This apartment is big (for two guests), very comfortable and within easy walking distance of most or all of the interesting places Dijon has to offer within the city itself. It is close to Monoprix and is well set up for self-catering. Email correspondence was prompt and informative and we were met at the apartment door by the local agent who was very helpful with carrying our suitcases up the stairs. Yes, the website quite clearly states that the apartment is on the third floor and there is no lift, but climbing the stairs each time makes sinking into the very comfortable sofa or lounge chair so much more enjoyable. If you're walking with suitcases from the railway station, we suggest rue de la Libération as far as rue du Bourg, which leads directly into rue Berbisey - it's not the shortest, but the slight extra distance is more than offset by mainly smooth surfaces for small wheels, and no narrow footpaths which have to be half-shared with cars.

About the host
Hosted by Tom Armstrong
Australian resident who loves Europe and France in particular. Fell in love with Dijon!!
Why they chose this property
It's a beautiful old building closely located to museums, the market, the Place de la Liberation and coffee shops and restaurants. Most importantly it has a wonderful view over Dijon that allows the sunlight and gentle breeze into the apartment.
What makes this property unique
The view. Most apartments are near ground level and feel very dark and closed in. Apartment Bonnard is exactly the opposite.
