About this property
More Space than Hotel -- King Bed/ Bunk Bed / Laundry - 29mi to Nashville
Mema’s House offers a plush king-size mattress for a restful night’s sleep in the primary. The second bedroom is perfect for families or groups, featuring a unique three-tier bunk bed with a full-size mattress, a twin on top, and a twin trundle pull-out, comfortably sleeping up to five guests.
For larger groups, consider booking our neighboring property as well. Together, both homes can accommodate up to 12 people, providing an excellent solution for family reunions or gatherings of friends.
Welcome to Mema’s House, a charming and character-filled home nestled in the heart of Gallatin. This beloved abode, named in honor of my grandmother who cherished it for many years, offers a unique blend of vintage charm and modern comfort. When the chance arose to purchase this home from an old friend, we seized it, ensuring Mema’s legacy continues.
Step Inside History and Comfort
While Mema’s House is indeed an old house, its quirks only add to its charm. You might find doors that fit a bit oddly or lights with a mind of their own, but these are just part of its unique personality. We’ve meticulously updated the interior to provide a delightful stay, featuring freshly painted walls, newer appliances, a resealed bathtub, and a brand-new vanity. All the furniture and linens are new, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant experience.
Bold and Cozy Ambiance
The home’s dramatic color scheme adds flair and personality to each room, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. One of the standout features is the original neon sign in the living space, a historical piece from our local chamber of commerce that proudly displays both “Grit Gallatin” and “Amazing Grace,” encapsulating the spirit of our town.
**The exterior is a work in progress, working on decking (paint) as well as landscaping! Needs to be as cute as the inside - coming soon!

This is our hometown - Gallatin, TN! The Nicest Place in America circa 2018!
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because this was my grandmother's home. In 2023, we were fortunate to acquire it from its longtime owner, who had rented it to my Mema for years. Although she was never able to own it, we wanted to honor her memory by giving the home new life.
While some areas of the neighborhood might feel a bit unfamiliar, it's truly a strong, close-knit community.
