Escape to Bear Cub's Den in The Sanctuary community on Snowshoe's South Mountain, that’s only a few minutes walk to the Soaring Eagle lift. Relaxation meets luxury in this spacious 4 bedroom 4 bathroom home perfect for families seeking a peaceful retreat with modern amenities and privacy.

The heart of the home is the open living area, where you can gather around the cozy gas log fireplace after a day on the slopes. A large table seats 12, and additional settings can be placed at the kitchen bar, and outside at the picnic table on the 1st floor balcony. The gourmet kitchen, equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and a large walk-in pantry, makes preparing meals a breeze. Just off the kitchen, you'll find a private nook with a desk and bookshelves perfect for catching up on work or planning your next adventure.

The back patio has a private 6-person jetted and lit hot tub, a fire pit, seating, and gas grill.

Under the first floor is the heated two-car garage where you’ll find a pingpong table, a rack for skis, poles, and snowboards. A custom drying rack blows dry air into six pairs of ski boots and six pairs of gloves. There are hooks to hang up any jackets or other clothing that needs drying. The full size washer and dryer are in a small laundry room just off of the garage. Please bring your own laundry detergent.

The master bedroom is on the second floor with a king size bed, private balcony, and ensuite bathroom with double sinks and a spacious tile shower. Also on the second floor are two additional bedrooms and a full bathroom with a bath/shower. One of the bedrooms has a king size bed. The other bedroom has a twin over queen size bunk bed.

On the third floor is a seating area with a full-size sleeper sofa and a balcony with the best view of the incredible sunrise over the mountains. Additionally there’s a full bathroom (with bath/shower) and a bedroom with two twin over queen bunk beds.

All bedrooms have flat screen smart TVs, nice closets, and dressers. Every bathroom has shower dispensers with TRESemmé shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Tankless hot water heater means you will never run out of hot water.

Whether you're enjoying the serene mountain views, cozying up by the fire, or soaking in the hot tub, Bear Cub's Den offers everything you need for a relaxing and unforgettable getaway on Snowshoe Mountain.

Wonderful ski in ski out beautiful cabin

This wonderful place had everything we needed and more! We enjoyed the hot tub, the large family room and dining table, and comfortable rooms. It is very hard to find large living space when you need a lot of bedrooms. Warm and cozy and beautifully decorated. The kids love the upstairs bunk rooms and their own private TV area.

We had a great time at Bear Cubs Den. The house was stocked with everything that we needed. The boot/glove/helmet dryer was a nice surprise. The house was extremely clean. The slopes were just a short walk/drive. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip. The layout with multiple levels was great for letting the kids have their space and the adults to have theirs.

Garland-Peterson Stay

A lovely property, truly worthy of the moniker "a home from home." The nearby resort is excellent and kept an otherwise beach fixated crowd entertained. The railway and observatory in the close by towns of Cass and Greenbank respectively were an unexpected bonus. Some of the neighboring properties weren't quite as well maintained as this one and there was construction taking place down the road, but these were minor blemishes on an otherwise excellent experience. Very highly recommended.

Bear Cub stay

We loved the ease of entry into the house especially into the heated garage. The 2-car garage made it extremely easy to handle all the wet ski and snowboard gear. It truly makes a difference when compared to other places on the mountain. The kitchen and dining area exceeded all of our needs. The beds and bathrooms were ver comfortable and warm. Would highly recommend this place with families of 5 or more. Oh, we also loved the easy HDMI connection for our Apple TV and the speedy wifi. 10 Prime Steakhouse, shuttle, and Soaring Eagle lift are a 5 minute walk away. Great vacation for us!

Gorgeous home in wonderful location

Owners clearly take pride in their home, and it comes with everything needed for a great stay. There were 3 families staying with a total of 6 adults and 6 kids. We stayed for a ski vacation, and the location was perfect-just a short walk to the Soaring Eagle lift. Communication with the owners was fast and accurate. Everything in the description is as it states. Bonus that we did not know about was the large pantry to store food for the week! We will be back!

Amazing Property!

Cubs Den is a fantastic place to stay. Although we didn't have much snow left for our ski trip, we still had a ton of fun and were able to enjoy the hot tub, and have a fire one night! This place is well stocked with anything you'd need in the kitchen! We will be back next season!

Why they chose this property

After years of owning multiple properties in the Black Bear Crossing community, we are so excited to now have a home in The Sanctuary on Snowshoe's South Mountain. From the moment you drive through the arched entryway, you know this place is pretty special with the most upscale homes on the mountain and fantastic views. The finishes of all these homes are unique to snowshoe and the surrounding areas. We love how close a walk it is to lifts and restaurants, and when a trip to the village is in order, the free shuttle is extremely convenient.

What makes this property unique

Perched just below the summit of Snowshoe's South Mountain, you'll be hard pressed to find better views and quicker access to lifts. A heated garage makes all the difference. No tracking snow through the front door and it also provides protection of your gear from the elements. Across the the three levels and garage, we've added little touches to make this home as inviting and elegant as possible.
