I would be very cautious about booking with this owner. He was very misleading and dishonest from the very beginning. I sure didn’t expect this from him. Given the other review that was out there about how he was a good host. I specifically asked him before we booked if there was any construction or loud noises that we needed to be aware of and he responded that no the house next to him was near completion and there should be no disturbances. Well,sure was not the case. It was completely unlivable. If you are looking for a place where a house is being built within 1 foot of your driveway and you like skid steer noise, generators, hammering, construction, workers cussing, and spitting with trucks being parked in front of your house, then this is the place for you. If you don’t like that, I would stay away from it. Also, I will say upon arrival we found that both toilets did not work, neither TV worked, the gate had been torn down, and there was an electrical cable laying 2 feet above the ground, which could be very dangerous. I tried to remedy the situation very politely and kindly with him, and he simply refused to give me a refund. So we had to check out and find another place. Ultimately this cost me over $2500 and so giving a review is about the only way I seem to be able to get any recourse. Very sad! Vrbo has been less than responsive and said it is up to the owner to give the refund approval. So I hope my review helps somebody prevent a miserable experience
