There’s a little story behind the name “Under the Sea.”

While we were renovating this condo, I brought my 3-year-old granddaughter with me and told her I was decorating it with an Under the Sea theme. She looked around and asked me, “Tita, if it’s Under the Sea, where is the mermaid?”

She was absolutely right! 🧜‍♀️ So my friend went out and found a mermaid, and we placed her on the back wall of the guest bedroom. She’s been part of the home ever since.

That little moment became part of the personality of this condo—a playful, comfortable coastal home designed with details inspired by the sea.

Under the Sea is a first-floor condo on Ocean Drive, directly across from beautiful Cole Park and Corpus Christi Bay. With two comfortable bedrooms, a full kitchen, washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and free on-site parking, it has everything you need to feel at home while enjoying Corpus Christi.

We hope you enjoy discovering all the special details throughout the condo—including, of course, the mermaid who gave Under the Sea its finishing touch. 🧜‍♀️🌊

This space was so peaceful and the view of the ocean was perfect. I absolutely love the private parking and the quaint sitting area off the kitchen. The layout of this unit is really amazing, great use of space and we will definitely be back in the future.

This property is amazing! The location is perfect access to all things with an incredible view. The amenities were perfect. The host was awesome. She provided the information so simply and professional. No room for error! This place is worth it all!

Although the condo was very beautifully decorated we found a few things less than desirable for us. Upon our arrival we were unable to connect to the internet and there was no free tv programming unless we wanted to log in to a paid service. These issues were addressed promptly by the host and were greatly appreciated.First, the noise level from the condo above was extremely loud. An alarm could be heard every morning at 5:30, stepping/running, music, tv, etc. throughout the day/ night. Also, the traffic from Ocean Dr. was loud. Secondly, the mattresses were extremely soft to us. Perhaps not an issue for a couple of nights, but for an extended stay, as ours was, our bodies felt it and we were unable to get good, deep rest & woke up stiff. The host promptly responded to all text messages and questions we had.

We love this area! Ocean Drive is truly one of the most beautiful and desirable places to stay in Corpus Christi. The views of Corpus Christi Bay are incredible, and even after living here for more than 35 years, we still enjoy simply driving along Ocean Drive and taking in the scenery. There’s something special about the palm trees, the bay, the breeze, and the coastal atmosphere. You really have to experience it yourself to understand why we love it so much!

What makes this property unique

Our property has been beautifully renovated with so much love and attention to detail. The location is wonderful, the home is comfortable and clean, and most importantly, it has a story to tell!

Here’s the sweet little story behind Under the Sea:
While we were remodeling, I brought my granddaughter Camila with me. She was only 3 years old, and I told her that the apartment was going to be called Under the Sea. She looked at me and said, “Tita, if it’s Under the Sea, where is the mermaid?”

She was absolutely right! 🧜‍♀️ That’s why you’ll find a mermaid on the wall behind the bed in the guest bedroom. It became one of the special little details that completed our Under the Sea story.
