Cabin had AC which was critical for our week of 90 degrees. Beach was sandy and inviting. Perfect for my daughter's puppy to try out swimming and canoeing. Pleasant cove that is generally calmer than the main lake. Loved the hammock on the shore. Well equipped
Great place to have our adult children and our dog spend a week vacation. Close enough to grocery stores and other entertainment. We got lobster from Landlocked Lobster Pound (super friendly service) one day and floated the Saco River in Fryeburg on another. Plenty of room for all six of us and the dog. We all spent relaxing days by the water reading, or enjoying the water on the float, tubes, kayaks, and canoe. It isn't easy finding a great place that's affordable and allows dogs - we loved that this one checked all the boxes!

We had a very nice time at the cabin. It was perfect for a long weekend. Thank you
The property has everything you need to stay put and enjoy the experience. Kayaks, canoes, swimming, firepit, BBQ’s, outside eating space and privacy. Inside is very well stocked. You don’t need to bring extras. It was a great VRBO experience.
The cabin was comfortable and was fully equipped. Although there is a view from the deck, there is a short path to get down to the water. Overall, we had a great time!
This was our second stay and it was just as wonderful as the first. Cabin has everything you need and the property, both the yard and beach, are spacious and allow for lots of outdoor activities (our dog settled right in). We did a lot of kayaking...lots of great fishing? Highly recommend.
This is our 3rd year visiting Marty's cozy cabin! We love the lake and the sandy flat entrance is wonderful for our dog! The house is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Marty is a gracious and responsive host! Thank you again for sharing your home with us!
We had a fabulous stay at this lakehouse log cabin. We couldn't find anything to complain about. Kitchen was well stocked with pot, pans, dishes, glasses, etc. Beds were extremely comfortable. Very nice deck with tables, umbrellas, and chairs. Spacious fire pit area with chairs. The best part was the lake area. Sand beach area for easy entry to the lake. Fishing off the dock was plentiful. And lets not forget the swiming dock for the kids to jump off of. We decied to rebook for next year even before our week stay was over.
Very cute homey cabin. It would of been prefect if it had a covered deck since we did have a few rainy days. But location was great for all we wanted to see & do. Fully stocked and i mean fully if you forgot the smallest thing it was there just in case.
The camp was well stocked. Plenty of sleeping space. The living room was a little tight. Cute over all layout.
The waterfront was very nice with kyaks and canoes.
The kids caught plenty of fish right off the dock. The lake has a beautiful setting. The firepit was perfect for nighttime fires!
The property is beautiful. The house is well maintained and clean. The kitchen appliances and equipment is updated for cooking through the week. The beach area is great being in a quiet part of the lake. The house is nicely situated so that although there of course are neighbors they are separated by some woods. We have stayed at Marty’s home multiple years now and always have a relaxing experience.
The cabin was clean, well stocked and comfortable. The lake was just a few steps away with a small sandy beach area. The kids fished every day. A 4lb bass was the prize catch!
A+ for a clean oven and a grill in good working order (just needed a quick brush cleaning).
My only complaint was a shortage of towels until I found about a dozen still damp towels in the dryer. Overall a very good experience.
The house would be perfect for one family. Two couples would not be comfortable here. The basement was very damp and really not useable to sleep in. The loft was perfect for kids. The master bedroom was very comfortable.
The Owner was responsive and very nice.
The kids 9,7,6 had a blast fishing. They want to come back. The area is very nice. We really just spent all our time fishing and going out in our boat.

Awesome Place to Stay
Marty & Kim have really done an excellent job at making the stay at their cabin easy and efficient! The amenities were fantastic and there was plenty of room for our four adults and two kids! There was plenty to do on the lake and the property was a great place to throw around a ball, enjoy a fire or rest on the deck. My husband and I were also able to run from the cabin daily with plenty of great scenery. There is also an indoor pool nearby and a playground less than a half mile away. My husband was able to get his fishing license and fish for three of the days of our stay. Kim & Marty also provide wireless access so that we could use all our devices. We really enjoyed ourselves and hope to return soon! Thank you both!!
We loved our stay at this cabin. Place was clean, and kept up. The location on the lake was perfect. The cabin sits in a beatiful cove where there is little to no boat traffic. The beach was awesome with little to no weeds and a great shallow entry that dropped off into a perfect swiming depth. Also, the the place has plenty of kayaks and canoes to use during the stay. The dock was big enough for multiple people to fish off of. The lake is a bass fishing dream. If you take a boat there are endless perfect places to fish. We were catching them nonstop all week. Also Marty, the owner was always quick to respond to any questions that we had. It was a little tight for 8 people, but we made it work. Other than that it was an amazing experience!! We would definitely stay agian!
If you are looking for a simple, no-frills place to hang out by a nice lake, this is for you. The lake is great, and the cabin is small but has most of what you need.
We did have some concerns though. My son fell through a rotted step and ended up with 3 stitches. The owner was helpful, but couldn't get the step fixed until we left, so there was no emergency exit for those who stayed in the basement.
Also the pictures on VRBO do not show the path to the lake, which is over a small hill with LOTS of exposed roots. This was very difficult for our older and younger guests, and got very slippery.
Lastly, the dryer did not work well (had to run it 3 times to dry a small load), and the basement was missing the futon that was shown on VRBO.
We LOVED our stay! The beds are comfortable, the water pressure is great, and the cabin has everything you need. The boat ramp was close (make sure you order your sticker if your boat is out of state, there is an inspector at the ramp) and an easy ride to the house. The swim platform has lights making it easy to find the dock at night. We did a lot of fishing and only a little catching, but had fun. There are a lot of geocaches on the islands. Our favorite island had a super fun rope swing. The landlocked lobster pound has delicious lobster and clams and they are cheap!! Xota brewery has delicious beer (try the peanut butter thunder!) and Sokokais Seafood Shack has great ice cream. We took a day trip to Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens to find the trolls and went lobstering on a sailboat. We highly recommend both. The world’s only cryptozoology museum in Portland was cool too, and it was next to Sacred Profane which was amazing. We had no issues with our pontoon on the lake everyday and until Friday it was like having a private lake. We even tubed in the section just outside the cove. It was a fun filled week for sure!
The cottage was excellent; very comfortable with all needed accommodations. The entire property ( cottage & grounds) provided a very relaxing atmosphere. We were very pleased with everything. The only negative experience was the fact the lake is very shallow and not as large as it appears on a map. Made for limited boating, but great for kayaking.
The cabin in nice. Just the right distance to the lake with kids. Great grilling spot and fire pit. Nice swimming area. Fishing was good off the dock. Lake water was very warm. Had a great time.
Great property and beach/dock area, very clean and awesome location
Great place to stay for a family. Even if more than 4. They have a great set up in basement even though are family of 4 does not need it. I was able to dock my pontoon boat there as Marty h an expansive dock with a nice beach. Beautiful piece of land in a great part ot Lake Arrowhead Community.

We are a family of four (Five, counting Telli, our Bernese Mountain dog) living in Southern, NH . With two young children and our jobs to keep us busy, we really appreciate spending quality time together as a family.
Why they chose this property
We decided to purchase our vacation Home on Lake Arrowhead in North Waterboro, ME due to it's great location, convenient to our home, the seacaost, and the mountains. The Lake Arrowhead community has been welcoming and friendly! We look forward to many years of great memories being made at our home away from home. We fell in love with this Cabin by the lake at first sight, and hope you will too!
What makes this property unique
You can't help but disconnect from every day stresses a bit while your here. Having your morning coffee out on the deck overlooking the lake. Watching the kids play in the sand at the beach. Casting a line from the dock or just going for a quiet paddle.
