Welcome to our cheerful, warm, and cozy "Little Yellow House" — tucked into the historic Cooper Park neighborhood in the heart of Bozeman. Built in 1932, this charming home sits on a peaceful, tree-lined street surrounded by parks and green space, just a 5-minute walk from downtown and a short drive to Bridger Bowl ski area, Hyalite Canyon, the Madison River, and countless other outdoor escapes. Lovingly cared for by Erin, a Superhost, your stay is sure to be a memorable one.
The Little Yellow House is the upper unit of a beautifully preserved 1932 home in the historic Cooper Park neighborhood. It features a gas fireplace, a spacious living room with a pullout couch, a fully equipped kitchen, and a large fenced-in backyard. The primary bedroom offers a comfortable queen-size bed, while the second bedroom is outfitted with a full bed and a bunk on top — perfect for kids or extra guests. A flexible side room off the primary bedroom can serve as a quiet work study, a cozy reading nook, a playroom, or a nursery. Guests will have access to parking in the driveway as well as free street parking.
The location is just as special. We're only one block from Main Street, where you'll discover Bozeman's best restaurants, shops, and cafés, with several beloved breakfast, lunch, and coffee spots just a 2-minute walk away. Cooper Park and the nearby nature trails are right down the street, offering a peaceful retreat just steps from the heart of town.
Guests will enjoy exclusive access to the entire upper unit, featuring its own private entrance, one reserved parking space, and access to the front and backyards. Your indoor living space is completely private. The property also includes a separate lower-level guest unit, which may be occupied during your stay, and the owner resides in a separate private dwelling on the property with its own entrance. The backyard is the only shared outdoor space.
In the spirit of full transparency: this is a 100-year-old home, and the floors and walls are not soundproof, so you may occasionally hear footsteps or conversation from the unit below. To ensure a restful night's sleep, we provide a sound machine in every bedroom.
Pet Policy: Dogs are warmly welcomed (no cats, please—we're allergic!). We allow up to two dogs per booking, and a non-refundable cleaning fee of $200 per pet is due at the time of booking. This policy applies to service animals as well. Please note that I also have a friendly dog who lives on the property, so guest dogs must be well-behaved and get along with other dogs.
Accessibility: As a historic home with stairs, our property is unfortunately not equipped to accommodate guests with mobility needs or wheelchairs.
We can't wait to welcome you to the Little Yellow House!

Erin was a great host and the place felt like home and was spacious. The location is phenomenal. It is quiet, but you are still very close to all the action in Bozeman.

Thanks Jared, we loved having your sweet family here, and we hope you can come back and stay again soon!
The house was in a great location for walking to Main Street and a quick drive to campus. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. The living room was very comfortable for hanging out and the courtyard gardens were beautiful!
This home was great, and was a perfect location for us to stay at while attending MSU orientation. Would recommend this home for anyone traveling through Bozeman.
Erin was a gracious and responsive host, and we appreciated her hospitality throughout our stay. The location is excellent, with a beautiful park just down the street, making it easy to enjoy the area. There are a few things I think future guests would benefit from knowing. One is that the host lives on the property. Erin let us know shortly before arrival that her dog would be in the yard, and everything worked out fine, but having that information in the listing before booking would have been helpful. The listing also advertises air conditioning, but it’s a single portable AC unit in the living room rather than central air. It was turned off when we arrived, which I can understand since the property had been vacant, but during our stay we needed the portable unit plus five fans to stay comfortable in the house. Another thing to be aware of is that there are people renting the unit below. You are asked to be mindful of noise, which is understandable, but it did mean feeling like we needed to be extra careful about walking around and making normal household sounds.Overall, Erin was kind and accommodating, and we enjoyed the convenient location. That said, I felt the nightly rate was high for what was offered. It’s priced similarly to a nice hotel, but the overall experience didn’t quite match that level. I hope this feedback is helpful for both Erin and future guests.

Chris--Thank you for your kind words about my hospitality and the location. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay overall.
I would like to clarify a few points for future guests: The listing clearly states that this is an upper unit in a large house, that the owner lives on-site in a separate private residence with a dog, and that there may be guests renting the lower-level unit below. These details are provided in the "Property Description" so guests can have full information about the property before booking.
The listing also states in the "Amenities" section that the air conditioning is a portable AC unit—it does not state that the home has central air conditioning. The guest did not reach out before booking with any questions about the air conditioning; had he done so, I would have been happy to explain the cooling setup in greater detail.
In addition to the portable AC unit in the living room, we provide two evaporative cooling units and three fans for guests to use. Most guests find these options more than adequate.
None of these concerns were brought to my attention during their stay. Had they been, I would have been happy to provide guidance on how to operate the two evaporating cooling units, which do not seem to have been used.
I genuinely strive to provide every guest with a comfortable stay, and I'm always available during a reservation to answer questions or help resolve any issues that arise.
Super experience! Location allowed us to walk downtown. Home was clean and had all the ammenities we needed. Check in and out was super easy, nice to have parking in back. Yard was cute and private. Communication with host was fast and positive.
I stayed here with my family and friends for a weekend in Bozeman! Erin was easily accessible and the check in process and checkout process was very easy and smooth! Would 100% stay here again if back in the Bozeman area! I just loved the cute little fireplaces in the house! And beds were extremely comfortable.
Hi there, I'm Erin! Hailing originally from the great state of Texas, I'm now lucky enough to call Montana home. I've traveled all over the world working as a documentary photographer, living in Turkey, India, Iraq, Israel and Afghanistan. I love traveling, meeting new people and of course, trying local food. I've been a host on airbnb since 2010; I love ensuring my guests have a wonderful and memorable stay at my properties.
