Banana Hale is a private entrance studio that is simply and tastefully decorated. Located on the dry side of Waimea, where you can enjoy the pink sunsets, rainbows, and usual starry nights.
Outside your door you will be able to appreciate the edible landscape which depending on the season produces a variety of delicious fruits and vegetables (bananas, pineapples, dragon fruit, oranges, cherries, watermelons, tomatoes, celery, etc... If you are lucky, you may see one of our two indoor/outdoor cats (Akamai and Santiago). If you are allergic to cats, for your own comfort, we recommend you find a different home. Note: the bed has a feather topper, so if you are sensitive to feathers, this might not work.

This place significantly exceeded my expectations. It was very clean and spacious. The owner was very communicative. I would definitely recommend this space to friends and would be happy to come back and stay if I ever make it back to the island.
The host greeted us upon arrival and showed us to our space. That evening there was a cockroach in the kitchen area that went under the cabinets. The next evening the cockroach was going along the wall near the ceiling around the room. I made the host aware and never received a response. When walking outside and to the vehicle, be aware of spider webs between the trees. There are quite a few eye level that we had to duck and dodge to not hit.
Host was great! Studio had everything we needed even though it was a short stay. Would recommend to visitors as well as locals.

Why they chose this property
This neighborhood is on the dry side of town. We get amazingly starry skies and beautiful sunsets. We are just 15 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from town. Kamuela View Estates (neighborhood) has a community feel and many people love walking around the block.
