Nice, cozy spacious cabin. Close to local attractions. Drive way is awkward and difficult to navigate especially at night.

Thank you for reviewing your experience with Grand Welcome! We hope to host you again soon, either here or at one of our many locations across the country!
I overall enjoyed this property. I liked how it was secluded, however it was close enough to attractions. The cabin had everything we needed and was very spacious. I would consider staying here again. The only advice I have is if you have small children make sure to put the children’s gate up before going up the indoor stairs.

We value your input and thank you for choosing Grand Welcome Smoky Mountains for your stay.
This was a great set up for our family of 4 (two kids, ages 3 and 6 + my husband and I) and my folks. We took the upstairs bedrooms, and the grandparents took one of the downstairs bedrooms - there was privacy for all, and plenty of bathrooms to go around! The kids loved the hot tub, and we enjoyed games of pool and visiting on the front porch. When we wanted to relax after the busy hustle-bustle of Pigeon Forge and Dollywood, it was great to come 'back to the mountains' (about a 15-20 min drive). Would definitely stay here again!
Property was great but the driveway needs much work … there are holes and it is very unsafe

Nice cabin but far from everything
If you’re looking for a cabin close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, this one is not the one. It’s a very nice cabin but it’s too far away. The driveway is very steep and unsafe unless you’re used to this type of condition.
The cabin was very clean and had a warm feeling about it. The decorations were beautiful and furniture comfy. Plenty of room for everyone. The pool table was a hit and the TV great for a movie night. The driveway was steep but not bad like I read and the drive to Pigeon Forge wasn't more than 14 minutes. The only con I'd say is that there wasn't a view. Missed looking out at mountains or forest. The property manager was helpful with checking in and responded quickly.
The cabin itself was great. Clean and roomy enough for 6 adults and a toddler. The problem was the location. The driveway was a nightmare! If not for 4 wheel drive, we wouldn't have made it up. Also, you have to pass drive and continue up steep road to find a place to turn around so that you will be headed in right direction to access driveway. Was not aware that the drive was that steep.
Also, we were a little freaked out on first night due to something scratching and knocking in ceiling - turns out it was squirrels!
Lovely cabin, but no wish to try that drive again.

Perfect Location (for us) Could use some minor updates.
Before booking this cabin I read the reviews about the driveway, but booked anyway, we have drove over some rough terrain. The driveway is very steep, but with a couple repairs, specifically the pothole at the very beginning and the right side on the way up has one pretty rough drop off, it would be much better! The cabin itself was nicely furnished with comfortable beds. The 4 stars for cleanliness were mainly related to the stove having an odor of breakfast grease, and the washer was not in working order. There was a strong mildew odor when opened, but we attempted to wash some towels, the washer would not rinse or spin out the water. I did contact the rental company and they delivered fresh towels the same day, so not a major issue! The only other issue I had was with the VRBO location pin, probably a computer error, but it’s not as close to pigeon forge as the pin made it seem. We enjoyed being out of the hustle and bustle and were pretty much an equal distance from pigeon forge and gatlinburg! We would definitely stay in this location again, and in this cabin if the driveway was repaired!

Pictures are Deceiving
Just leaving a review to give other renters a heads up because the pictures of this cabin are a bit deceiving. The structure is beautiful and it’s very roomy, but needs many updates and some important remodels. The drive is very steep and hard to park or turn around once you get to the top of drive. Tubs and kitchen sink need replacing and downstairs walk in shower door felt like it was going to fall off each time we closed it. Back porch needed some comfy furniture to sit out on and back door screen was ripped apart. Coffee mugs were chipped and put away dirty. Cookware was old and new pots and pans are needed. There were no extra sheets available and all the pillows were stained. On a good note, the pool table was a lot of fun and the couch in living room was comfortable and new. Communication with the rental service was great! With so many other cabins to choose from we will not rent this one again.
