House is very well maintained. Owners use it a few weeks per year for their own vacation and is a special place for them. We think you will enjoy the comforts of this 3 bedroom (two upstairs-1 with a queen bed, the other with two singles, one down with a queen bed) 1.5 bath plus large, new outdoor h/c water shower, wifi, grill, fully stocked kitchen, hammock and more......

Wonderful Week-long Stay!

The location of this home is excellent. We walked to the beach every day - only 7 minutes away! Comfortable beds. Great outdoor shower. Cozy, but set up to allow some privacy to sleep-in or nap. Very much enjoyed nightly fires in the backyard. Thank you to the owners for a wonderful week!

2014 summer vacation

Comfortable house within walking distance to the beach. Great family/kid friendly neighborhood. Found toys for our children to play with inside the house. The kids enjoyed picking tomatoes from the garden. The beaches seemed a little rocky this year so we recommend water shoes for the main beach. We did run into hot water issues in the house. The furnace kept shutting off and we had to reset it several times. The hose spicket was also unavailable. Seems the house needs some maintenance. Aside from these issues it was a great vacation!

Wonderful family vacation with small children

We had a wonderful vacation in this house. It is 5 mins walk to three beaches. We found many hidden treasures for small children in this house ( like a high chair, toys and safety gate). It is an ideal location to explore the rest of Cape Cod. We visited Martha's Vineyard, Provincetown and did whalewatching from Barnstable. The glass museum and the jam kitchen in the town are very nice too. The sunset view from the boardwalk is breathtaking. The children aslo had a lot of fun crabbing at the boardwalk. The house is comfortable and clean and the kitchen is fully stocked. The nearby Joe's seafood is wonderful. We ate at the house most of the time. The $2.00 per lb rock crab were delicious and worth a try.

Texans on the Cape

Very comfy house, only issue, and it seems to run throughout the Cape was the septic system. We were able to shower with hot water most of time outside with the outdoor shower, however because it was 55 degrees and raining most of the time we were there it would have been nice to have the option of bathing with warm water indoors. The water in the house was always chilly at best. Despite that very good location to beach and resturants and home family friendly and easy to feel at ease in.

We purchased this home shortly before my husband and I got engaged and he moved to NY from Boston. He grew up vacationing in Sandwich and it is truly where he calls 'home.' To be able to buy this house was a dream come true for us. We use it when we can but truthfully, we have two young kids, and life gets busy. We hope that our renters enjoy this wonderful place as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We love Sandwich because of the ease of proximity to and from the bridges to get on and off Cape--why this house? Not only do we treat it and maintain it as we would our primary home BUT is is in walking distance to Historic Downtown Sandwich, the Sandwich Boardwalk and marsh,Town Neck Beach, Sandwich Marina, Hemisphere's Restaurant and Seafood Sam's.
