We had a wonderful time here even with the government shutdown. There were three of us that met up to have a family vacation in DC. My Dad has always wanted to go to the city and my brother and I found plenty to do even though we missed the National museums. It was only a few minutes to drive to the metro to take us into the city without the city prices. The house was tidy and beds were very comfortable. The owner just installed a washer & dryer which was very nice to have since we stayed five nights. My Dad sat outside a lot had said there were friendly neighbors. A great job was done making sure everything we might have needed was available.

We stayed five nights for fourth of July. The communication with the hosts were perfect. We even had an issue getting into the property the first night coming in after dark (our problem, not theirs) but they were so quick to help. The house is in a really quiet neighborhood that felt really safe the entire time we were there. We door dashed several times and came home late at night from the city and always felt safe. The ONLY issue we had was the a/c but to be fair the week we were there was the hottest temperatures DC had experienced possibly ever ( over 100). Bad luck for us. Lol. If you're looking for a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful mid century house with a reasonable price tag; this is your place!

House was in excellent condition and the host was helpful. The walk to the metro took about 13 minutes at a brisk pace. Super convenient, but bring your walking shoes! It was an average city neighborhood - not super nice but still felt pretty safe. Overall a great place for the price!
