This private property is a two story detached house sitting on the one of Mexico quietest beaches.With only few steps between our pool deck and the ocean's edge ,and virtually no crowds in sight this is the Mexico most travelers never find. Casa de Cocos offers an exceptional level of privacy on our own secluded oasis on the Gulf of Mexico.
Positioned on prime coastal lot with an empty park like area next door. for maximum privacy and tranquility. Surrounded by mature tropical palms and coastal vegetation. Hum of the ocean, salty air ,magnesium loaded ocean all this is perfect for relaxation, rejuvenation, great sleep and improve human health.
Grand chef's kitchen with large central island ( an open plan) and an American style kitchen. The kitchen includes granite countertops and glass cabinets and is fully equipped. It also includes a stainless steel refrigerator , another small fridge and a granite topped island with a gas stainless steel cooktop. The house includes a spacious living and dining area.. The property has three bedrooms; one downstairs and two en suites on the second floor. The upstairs suites enjoy a full terrace and ocean view. One of the en suites has been remodel in 2022 ( new concrete roof ) has a king sized bed, and the second master suite also enjoys a king sized bed. The third bedroom on the ground floor has one queen sized bed . All bedrooms have A/C units and are very spacious. All bathrooms are spacious and have been remodeled with marble /tile vanities and marble sinks. The large backyard consists of a huge terrace facing the ocean, leading to the 11 meter long laguna pool. we have unobstructed ocean views from pool ,huge patio, second floor terrace, third floor tower and both king size bed bedroom suites.The back yard has sand so children can play in the sand or enjoy the pool while parents can watch them from the covered terrace while sipping their favorite drinks. The front yard has a large private circular driveway and parking space to accommodate a lot of cars. The house has a WIFI which is great for streaming movies, shows , news, sports events on all guest's devices. If you own Netflix you can watch it in Mexico. The house has no TV monitor. Downstairs is Telmex infinitum and upstairs and Netgear router (user name UPSTAIRS ) . Passwords will be provided..Outdoors : there is a charcoal grill. Brand new washer is in the laundry room located at the left corner of the terrace facing ocean.The property is extremely spacious, and private and is perfect for families both big and small. The property manager is available 24/7.

Amazing in every way!

We’ve stayed at several beach homes in this wonderful area and this one tops the list. Modern, comfortable house fully stocked and gorgeous pool and property. Dagmar was always prompt with replies and pleasant to communicate with. The location is outstanding. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to spend our vacation. We will definitely return.

This amazing home provided everything that was needed while on vacation! The house was clean, quiet, and well stocked for our meals and daily activities. The pictures do NOT do this home justice, as the beauty just cannot be captured with any photo. The view, the secluded beach, the plentiful patio furniture, the very spacious bedrooms and comfortable beds, and the incredible and friendly owner & management team made this one of our favorite vacations. We had our second stay in this beautiful house that was recently remodeled. The house is modern, very roomy and confortable. The large garden is nice and the new pool beautiful. And then, at the end of the garden, the ocean…The breeze in the palm trees, the sun, the peace and quietness…all this contributes to creating very nice memories. Travelers have to be aware though that the area is extremely quiet. If you look for quality time and peace in family or in a group, you found the right place. If your idea of vacations is noisy parties, cheap booze flowing, people screaming, then you might not fully appreciate this lovely place.

We love Casa de Cocos!

We had an a mazing time at the property which is very private as described. Dagmar is a very good host and communicates promptly. This was our second visit. We love Telchac. It is a small town. There are many new restaurants and places to visit. It is a great location for exploring Mexico and also having a private retreat. . We usually spend a few days in Merida first and then at the villa. I can't imagine any place more beautiful and private as this one. There are other properties for rent around town but they do not provide the same level of privacy. In any event we are hoping to go back soo.

First, thank you to Dagmar all your information etc... One of our nicest travel for my family. you were always answered to me every kind of question, location information, activity, distance etc... your house is absolutely incredible. Telchac puerto is very quiet place, nice place to relax and enjoy a small mexican village. Just one advice, you should ask your neighbor, to stop to work during the night. they often made a noise after 23h. ( electric saw started ) We high recommend to rent everybody your house. Wonderful beach house!

Although we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, it was different than I imagined it would be. I chose it because on the map it shows the location dot about 3 or 4 blocks from the main square in town. In reality it was much much farther away and we had to drive to get there. Also some of the windows and sliding doors don’t close properly. The main floor is concrete so being barefoot didn’t feel good. The knives in the kitchen were all dull and frustrating to cook with. Having said all that, we still enjoyed ourselves here. The beach was wonderful. We had the neighbor cook dinner for us twice and that was much better than the restaurants in town. The market in the square had good produce. Overall it was a great place to be!

When planning our vacation for the summer of 2018, we wanted to find the most relaxing, beautiful place we could find. Casa de Cocos was absolutely more than we could have wished for. Every picture you see on the website pales in comparison to the true beauty of the home. Every day, we were able to walk the 30 seconds to swim in the Gulf of Mexico, and every evening we were able to relax in the pool as the sun went down. Dagmar, the homeowner, as well as the caretaker of the property, were in constant contact with us if we needed anything at all, which wasn't much. My children (12 and 13) were enchanted by the coconuts around the property, as well as the access to wifi for when they just needed to hang out indoors for a bit. We were within minutes of local restaurants where we could dine inexpensively on the local cuisine, and also within an hour of larger towns where you will find larger restaurants and shopping opportunities. There are tour companies that can provide transportation directly from the property to destinations that are so rich in culture and history, we will absolutely never forget them. Our family has rented a vacation house every summer for the last 10 years, everywhere from Florida to California, and we can say without question, Casa de Cocos is the most beautiful house we've stayed in thus far. The view from the rear of the house is not to be believed. Thank you, Dagmar, for providing us the perfect place to stay and recharge our batteries. It was exactly what our family needed.

Fantastic location for adventure, relaxation, & amazing sunsets!

We really enjoyed this place for our 8 day stay. The house was ideally located on a beautiful beach, and close to the charming Telchac Puerto. Each day we went on an adventure exploring nearby archeological sites, cenotes, and reserves including the one near Dzilam de Bravo. We also enjoyed seeing nearby Flamingo colonies. After our daily adventure we would unwind on the back patio by the beautiful pool with a view and breeze from the beach. Every night at 6:30 we joined others on the beach to watch the beautiful sunset. The house was large for our needs as we were only two, and would be comfortable for up to 6, but it met our needs perfectly. Communication with Dagmar and Mauricio (the manager) was excellent. We initially did have trouble locating the place as the address on the listing conflicted directions given, but Mauricio guided us in by text. For the most part the house was very clean when we arrived, but some of shelves in the kitchen area were dusty and would benefit from a deep clean. Personnel arrived to clean the pool, the grounds, and pick up garbage somewhat regularly which we appreciated. As per the agreement, we knew we would be charged for electricity. Thus, we really conserved by using the AC in our room only at night. The charge only came to about 50 USD, but would have been a lot higher with a full house. We fell in love with Telchac Puerto. We will likely be back and would be happy to stay at Casa de Cocos especially if we have others with us.

Real Yucatan Relaxation

Thanks to great communication from the property owner and manager we found the place just fine, and found it quite clean. The pool and patio with the fabulous views facing the beach are the stars of this place. It was great to birdwatch while in the pool, play games poolside with friends, and head down to the beach to collect shells at sunrise and sunset. We saw only a few other people around, and heard a couple neighbors, but everyone seemed friendly and laid-back. There was some sargassum on the beach from previous storms before we arrived, but nowhere near the volume we encountered on the east shore in Puerto Morelos and it seemed to be clearing up towards the end of our stay. We didn't swim, but saw others doing so, and walking down the beach was fine. There was very little trash compared to other beaches we've visited in our travels. The house itself fit our party of six well, and felt safe and secure. The upstairs bedrooms opening to the balconies were very nice, and the everything was well maintained. You'll need to bring paper products, trash bags and spices, because no extras are provided, but finding those things in town is not challenging. We were able to make do just fine with the assortment of kitchen supplies they had on hand. Having a good washing machine and clothesline was a convenient bonus. It's easy to get into the center of Telchac Puerto for a bite to eat or to visit the pier,and Merida is an easy 45 minute drive. We really enjoyed visits to Xcambo and a nearby mangrove tour. We saw more flamingos than tourists, so I would take the Casa de Cocos experience over a resort anytime!

Great location, house needs updating, unreliable management

Our stay at this property got off to a rocky start before we got there. After booking months in advance for 9 nights, we were informed by the owner/property manager(?) a month before check in that 3 of our nights were no longer available. We spent HOURS searching for a new place for the 3 nights. While the owner did provide some compensation, which was nice, the hassle of moving in the middle of our trip plus the extra cost of booking a new place a month out did not equal out. Once we were there... Pros: - Awesome location. Very private. We loved being on the beach but set back a bit. Great pool and views. Telchac Puerto is a cool little town just a few min drive away. - Nice space. The layout of the house worked well for our group of 2 parents, 3 kids (6.6.9) and a grandpa. - Communication with the owner and local property manager was prompt and professional (other than changing our dates!) - We felt safe in the house and in the area. Cons: - The house needs updating. There was a giant rip in one of the lounge chairs by the pool. Multiple pieces of window hardware fell off. Bedding left a lot to be desired. - It was not well equipped for our stay. We had to buy our own trash bags, paper towels, etc. - The master bedroom has a weird sound issue when it's windy, which was often. Nothing the owners can do about that but it was unpleasant and hard to sleep. Overall, loved the location and pool but wouldn't book here again.

Almost perfect

First, the many positives others have already touched on: Lovely, peaceful setting RIGHT ON THE BEACH, clean and huge house with fantastic kitchen and excellent amenities, proactive host, excellent beds with clean sheets, all appliances worked. Really, it was a lot of little things that added up to my removing a half to 1 star - I speak with almost 20 years experience staying at VRBOs all over the world, and I'm trying to just offer a few friendly tips for the host as well as future guests. What would get this to 5 stars: 1. Accurate location coordinates. There were plenty of photos and descriptions, but when coming given the postal address is useless for navigation, an actual GPS cordinates would be excellent, especially if arriving at night like we did. For future reference, it is: (21.3415540, -89.283169) in Google Maps. 2. There are literally no condiments of any kind. I understand no one expects a fully stocked kitchen, but to earn 5 stars, many of the best at least start you off on the basics - salt and pepper, a bit of oil, small stuff. There is literally nothing to even get eggs going the next morning. 3. There are no paper goods. 4. Cleaning supplies like detergent or soap, or basic bath accessories are non existent. 5. The hot water did not work when we arrived. Only after a day we called the local super Mauricio, who did fix it, after which it worked great. 6. A set of clear instructions on how things worked from keys to washing machine etc. would be SUPER helpful.

A picture book setting

Check in was easy as we arrived late. Everything was as described. The house is very unique and beautiful. The various birds were fascinating to watch and try to identify. I have never been on a beach so thick with seashells I would highly recommend this paradise on earth.

Das Haus entsprach genau der Beschreibung und bot viel Platz für uns 5 Erwachsene. Der Pool hatte eine angenehme Größe, es gab jede Menge Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten auf der Terrasse und im Garten unter den Palmen. Wir haben die ruhige Umgebung genossen. Why they chose this property

We have discovered this property when we traveled to Merida with our children to play ITF tennis tournament "Copa de Yucatan " in November 2010.
We could not believe that place like this still exists. Surrounded by mature coconut palms while literally sitting at the sandy beach of the Emerald Coast. Absolute paradise. Just nature and us. Any time of the year empty eco beach and relaxing humming of the ocean.
Since we have purchased this place we are extensively remodeling the property to reach the american standard of luxury and functionality. (granite/glass/marble kitchen, laguna pool made from special pigmented concrete so the color of the water matches the color of the ocean and change with the sunlight. Modern bedroom suites all equipped with ac units. All bathrooms are remodeled /marble /glass.

What makes this property unique

The views from the house on the ocean and the central located pool are supposedly the best from our area ( opinion of our customers). The privacy , empty beaches and shallow waters are priceless. This area is ideal for canoeing , paddle surfing and jet skiing because the ocean's waters are calm and the bottom is flat and sandy.
