The place was absolutely the best vrbo on Santorini. Right in the picturesque town of Oia, perched on a cliff with all the amenities of home. Perfect for our family trip with two kids in their early 20s.

Slice of paradise!

The place exceeded all of our expectations. The location is absolutely wonderful, right in the heart of Oia. Elizabeth, the property manager, could not have been more helpful. She was a true gem, checking in on us each day and helping us to book all of our transportation and dinner reservations. The outside dipping pool is truly terrific. I would highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Santorini.

Best Location in Oia!

Santorini has been on my bucket list for 30 years. When you wait that long, you hope it lives up to the hype. It was truly everything I hoped for, but THIS PLACE and the people who run it are a huge part of the reason why! Elizabeth and her entire team were superb - I feel like I'm leaving family behind! She took care of every little thing we needed or had questions about - our entire trip was sells, so comfortable, and the " Ammons Mansion" was simply breath-taking. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

All I can say is Wow!!!

Elizabeth was amazing! She helped coordinate everything from airport transfer to a porter to help with our bags. So friendly and really responsive even months before our arrival. The house was just amazing to. The hot tub was perfect to relax in after a busy day. There was so much space and the view was unbelievable. It was in the middle of everything but still so quiet. I would go back anytime we are in Santorini. It was perfect for our family of 4! Thank you so much Elizabeth for making it such a memorable experience.

Spectacular view!

Property is exactly as detailed. The view is phenomenal, and the location is absolutely perfect, you are so close to so many fantastic restaurants and gift shops and jewelry stores. There was not a bad restaurant in Santorini, we went to so many, many have great views, great service, great food, but the favorite one we went to in Santorini, was Pelekonas! This particular restaurant had the best combination of food service and view. Keep in mind lots of stairs, definitely challenging if anybody has any more issues. And you are in the heart of a very tourist town. We had some lovely ladies doing their flying dresses photo shoot practically into our porch. So keep in mind privacy is a minimum, but the trade-off for view location, and hospitality is well worth it! We absolutely loved it! And that warm pool was well needed, for the very cold sea!

Amazing honeymoon!

We had a great time staying at the Ammos Oia mansion for our honeymoon. Elizabeth was very responsive and attentive to our needs. For staying in a rental property it still felt like hotel hospitality from the transportation services, porters taking our luggage to and from the unit and Elizabeth setting up reservations for us. The Main Street of Oia gets very touristy and busy but the unit itself is away from the craziness of the cruise ship passengers visiting during the day. There were people that tried getting on the rooftop to take photos or in the other units around us but we had enough privacy and nothing the property can do about it. The laundry was an added bonus as we were a week into our trip. It’s only a washing machine but hang drying our clothes wasn’t an issue. Overall an amazing experience!

AMAZING!

The reality is I don't want to share this place with ANYONE, but I could never keep such a beautiful home away from the world. The photos posted aren't close to how beautiful the views of this house are. My husband and I stayed at this beautiful cave house for our honeymoon and it was a complete dream. We were able to arrange transportation from the airport through the home owner. Once we were picked up, we arrived at the post office meeting location, which is just a few minutes from the house. Once we made it to the post office we were greeted by Zaf, the property manager. He was absolutely AMAZING. Zaf was extremely attentive and walked us all the way to the house. Once we arrived he explained the ins and outs of the house, what restaurants to go to in Oia, and what activities to do during our stay. He was able to set up a day trip to Therasia (although we were unable to make it due to extreme jet lag) and he also set up a massage for us at the cave house. I don't know what we would have done without Zaf's help, the best activities we did during our stay were thanks to his suggestions. We highly suggest setting up a massage by Maria- she was phenomenal and in my opinion it was one of best massages I have ever had in my life. Last, but not least, the location was perfect. This house is close to the main street, where all the shops and restaurants are, but it is far enough away where you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity that Santorini has to offer from the comfort of your porch. Look no further, this is the perfect place to stay in Santorini! We can't wait to come back and visit!

Very Disappointing

There was no one to meet us at the property and explain anything!! The property was very musty and mold smelling. The air conditioners were not working and there seemed to be dust and grit on the floors. The paint was chipped in the bathroom showers and the drain covers were not fastened to the floor so a person might hurt their foot or toe if one came off. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. The kitchen sink faucet was broken loose at the base and needed two hands to turn on and off. The drain holes in the kitchen sink and bathroom sink off the living room were rusted and not clean. The kitchen stove had some kind of white dust on the surface and cloth fastened above it which is a fire hazard!! The base of the hand wand in the shower off the living room was chipped around and needed paint. One light fixture nearest the door in the bedroom with the swing was broken. There was no where in the property to store your clothes in drawers or out of sight. The washing machine soap door was broken and the wooden lattice gate hiding it was also broken/not operating easily. There were no instructions on how to use the washing machine. there was no electric dryer. The rack for hanging clothes on was dirty and had to be cleaned by myself. The refrigerator was not properly defrosted. It was just a oversized beer fridge. In all this property IS NOT a preferred property to stay in and if there were other places available I/we would have not stayed here VERY DISSAPOINTED

This review does not respond the reality, this cave house which is 150 years old was renovated. From scratch ! These guests never realized what they booked and where they stayed! Everything was operational and there was nothing smeling! The walls were clean , everything was operetional, we gave those people a lift by shuttle and explained everything! AC were working perfectly! What should be considered is that when guests book a cave house in a caldera should understand the type of those houses .Unfortunately those guests never understood where they were! Those guests never responded also to our messages! Nothing was broken nothing was defect! Everyrhing was in their mind and what they mention is everything false and untrue, we really regret !

Wonderful experience!

My Husband and I along with my Brother and sister in law celebrated our wedding anniversaries in Santorini. This property was perfect! The views were outstanding, everything on the property was well kept and it had everything we needed. We were able to set up transport from the airport to the home as well as back to the airport after our stay ended directly through the property manager for a very reasonable price. Once we arrived in Oia, there was someone to meet us and assist us with navigating the streets to the home and help us with our bags. Elizabeth was super helpful. She sent us lists of recommended restaurants and things to do on the island. She also helped us make reservations for a boat tour which was wonderful. Zero complaints about this property or the service we received throughout our stay. Would highly recommend.

Stunning Caldera View

The view is so spectacular that tourists stop outside the gate to tale photos. Steps away from good restaurants and shops. Helpful friendly property managers. Loved sipping wine and espresso on the patio. Beautiful sunny weather even in mid October. Enjoyed boat trip and hiking. Wonderful place!

Wonderful Stay in Santorini

Our family of four had an incredible time. The property is perfectly situated close to all restaurants and stores, but far enough from the crowds which is very important in Santorini. The property is spacious and is very well appointed. The views from the terrace and hot tub are incredible. We spent most of the time relaxing by the hot tub. We also took a fantastic boat tour on the recommendation of George, the property manager, who also arranged the tour for us.

This villa is right in the heart of Oia and within walking distance to everything in town with just a short walk to the bus/taxi stop. The accommodations were fantastic and communication and assistance with transportation (even last minute changes) were handled for us with ease. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking to spend some time on the beautiful island of Santorini!

Breathtaking Oia views

We loved the design of this cave house, especially the swing near the window overlooking the caldera. It was a clean and comfortable place to unwind after long days of sightseeing and shopping. Highly recommend!

Great property in Oia. The pictures don’t really give you the feel of how close you are to the bustling end of Oia. Zaf, the property manager, handled our requests from transportation needs, to restaurant recommendations. The E bike tour on Thirasia he set up was the highlight of our time in Santorini. The daily maid service was an unexpected bonus. I would HIGHLY recommend this beautiful property. You won’t be disappointed

Perfect Oia house

This cave house in Oia is simply stunning! The view is breathtaking. You are in the heart of Oia, which with all its beauty can get extremely busy yet this place is only steps away and an oasis from it all! So quiet and relaxing but the views are some of the best on the Island. The house itself is very comfortable. We are a family of 4 and had plenty of room, The kitchen was more than adequate for our needs. The bathrooms are lovely with beautiful hot showers and there is a washing machine should you require it too. Haris and Zaf are amazing hosts. Haris was quick to respond to any requests prior to our arrival and Zaf, the villa manager, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. We thoroughly recommend this accommodation if you are travelling to Oia, you will not be disappointed!

Everything about this place was perfect! From the communication from the owner to the extremely helpful host, we didn’t have to worry about anything. This cave house is located in the heart of the village. Close to all the shopping and restaurants. The view from this house is incredible. The pictures online are exactly like what the house looks like. We truly didn’t have to worry about anything. Our host arranged for transportation to and from the airport, and a last minute day of sailing. Honestly, it was just like staying in a luxury hotel! If your coming to Santorini this is the place to stay! Thank you for an amazing experience while staying in this beautiful part of the world!
