Welcome to Europe Lake House, a guest house located on the most tranquil lakeshore of an inland lake in Door County, where the highest rated dark night skies are a dream of the stargazers, the calm lake waters offer perfect conditions for all sorts of water fun and the peacefulness and privacy of the cozy cabin helps you forget the rest of the world exists.

This charming property features a cozy living room with a fireplace and TV, fully equipped kitchen and a large dining room/family room, all with beautiful views to the lake. The cabin has 3 bedrooms,1 king bed and 2 queen beds, perfect for one or two family get away. With 2 bathrooms equipped with all the essentials, guests can relax and unwind in this enchanting retreat. Our place is equipped for both long or short stays to make your vacation one to remember.

We are located a few miles from Gills Rock right on the shoreline of Europe Lake with easy access to water. We offer complimentary kayaks and paddleboards for water lovers in addition to a pier to sit and relax on. You are also able to enjoy outdoor time with family around the firepit right on the waterfront or grilling out on the patio.

We are located a short distance from Newport State Park, offering wide variety of outdoor activities including hiking, biking and skiing.

We had 3 couples staying here and found it to be a wonderful experience. Peaceful location. Fully equipped kitchen with beautiful dishes. The outdoor fire pit was our favorite hangout. Clean home and comfortable bedding. The master suite was amazing! Dining table fit us all. Thank you Gretel!

The property was just as described. It was the perfect family home for our stay. It was peaceful and relaxing. It was also the perfect location for our day trips to the islands. We had to communicate with Greta (hostess) a few times. She was quick to respond and was very gracious. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay at the lakehouse! So quiet and the views cannot be beat. Really enjoyed exploring the lake on the kayaks provided. Loved having breakfast in the room off of the kitchen; very cozy and a beautiful view of the lake. Plenty of room for everyone, wished we could have stayed longer. Also great location for exploring northern Door County with plenty of food choices no more than 20 minutes away.

Perfect stay! Everything about the house was exceptional. Easy check in and surprisingly easy to find and travel to all towns in Door County despite being out of town. 10 out of 10 cleanliness and well appointed with linens and kitchen supplies. The lake location was beautiful and we were able to sit outside for coffee in the morning and around the fire pit in the evening. We will be back!

This place is better than pictured in VRBO! The lake is beautiful and great for kayaking and fishing. Plenty of room for parking multiple vehicles. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. Bedrooms are comfortable and everything nice and clean. We had a terrific week in beautiful Northern Door County!

What a wonderful, quiet, peaceful place! We loved the clear lake, the location right near the dark sky park, and the outdoor lounges on the deck. There is a new-looking pier/dock with kayak launches that made it easy to get in and out of the lake, and was great for standing on to do star gazing at night. A great blue heron likes to visit under the pier, and we saw deer and a mink on property. There are more kayaks and SUPs than pictured, and a couple of clear kayaks. They were all doubles - no single kayaks. For a lake house, it was well-equipped; I was wishing for a normal coffee maker or tea kettle though. It looks like the owner is doing high quality updates. Beds and bedding were comfortable and cozy, the fridge looked new, good TV channels/options, steady WIFI, and well-configured living & lounging rooms. I would love to know the story of what the original building looked like and what's been added on. Key/lock info was sent 2 days prior to check-in, for us, after the auto-generated VRBO keys-to-your-trip email. Nice sign at the end of the drive made it easy to find. Thankful for a great getaway.

Cottage down a long gravel drive. Lake quite reedy, shallow with a mucky bottom. Beds and Linens immaculate! Carpet a bit dubious. Multiple signs of deferred maintenance, slider to Master BR so rotted, would not slide. Multiple broken outdoor path lights, handle missing on Microwave, broken lamp in family room. Killed multiple carpenter ants inside home daily, if it was my cottage, would be looking for the source. Also multiple large black wasps in home that we killed, Those with kids need to be careful of mousetrap by couch. Bring your own Kleenex, not a single box in home. May want to bring own bathing products, only items provided is a motley assortment of leftovers. Also bring own firewood, as description notes, none provided. At this price point, I expected better.
