Idyllic home away from home
Staying in La Herradura for two months gave me the opportunity to enjoy this unique spot on the globe. This apartment provided comfort, ease of access, beauty and security. The furnishings make for a cozy, homey stay. All appliances are provided and having two bathrooms is great. The outdoor terrace expands the space, which is really considerable since there is a living room, dining area, den/office, kitchen and bedroom. Elina is always ready with details and attends to every need. The pull-out sofa (like most pull-out sofas!) leaves something to be desired but in every other aspect this apartment met all of my needs. I hope to return. Thank you, Elina, for a marvelous opportunity to live in La Herradura for a bit!! I loved every minute!!
Thank you Linda for your review.
It was an absolute pleasure to have you as my quest for two months.
I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay and found it homely and comfortable. I try and keep everything up to standard at all times. I want my quests feel that the apartment is home from home and not like an average rental apartment.
Welcome back Linda anytime.
Perfect for our requirements, everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
Delightful ground floor apartment within walking distance of the beach and village where there was a good variety of places to eat and water sports available on the beach. Spacious, clean and homely apartment with air conditioning which was much needed during our stay. A great welcome from Elina and no complaints at all. Thank you, Elina.
Our only disappointment was that the use of the pool was 7 euros per person per day, even if you just wanted to go for a quick swim, plus 3 euros each per day for a sun bed, and no half day rate.
I am very pleased to receive this review. It is very good to know that my renters were happy with my apartment and that they enjoyed their stay in La Herradura.
We don't have a community swimming pool unfortunately, so the pool in Las Palomas urbanization is available, but the cost for a day, including all the services, showers, changing rooms etc. is 7 euros a full day.
Thank you Dave and Sue for your review, it is really appreciated.
Welcome back any time.
Dealing with Elina was a delight! She was so responsive and helpful. The town of La Herradura was charming and easy to navigate. I loved the daily market with exceptional fish and meats, fruits and vegetables and the bakery across the street. The urbanization of Las Palomas was simply grand with its park like setting providing a tranquil oasis. The apartment itself was imbued with a refined elegance not often found in a beach community... it was truly a home!
Thank you Susan and Ronald for writing this review. I am so pleased that you enjoyed
spending time in La Herradura and that you found the village charming as well as Las Palomas urbanization peaceful and well cared for. Nice to know also, that you found my apartment homely and comfortable. welcome back anytime.
Kind regards, Elina
Well furnished apartment in interesting area
The 'Costa Tropical' wasn't an area of Spain I was familiar with, but is well worth a visit. The apartment is a short drive from the town and beach at La Herradura, and not far from the larger towns of Nerja and Alumnecar, offering more shops and a choice of restaurants. Granada is only an hour or so away, although we found enough to do nearer home. Elina met us nearby, showed us to the apartment and made sure everything was ok. Beautifully clean, well equipped kitchen (including microwave, dishwasher and teapot); two bathrooms and sofa bed, so might suit family or two couples sharing.
Visits to Frigliana, Andalucian horse show at bullring and restaurant La Puente at Nerja are recommended. Hoping to return in October.
I am pleased to receive this excellent review. I agree that La Herradura is a great place to spend a holiday on the Costa Tropical. It is close to Nerja, Almunecar, and the Maro caves. A little further away but easily accessed by a new, beautifulyl scenic motorway are the Alpujarras with pretty whitewashed villages, Granada and the Lecrin Valley.
I am delighted that my clients find my apartment a comfortable, well-equipped place to spend their holidays.
Peaceful and relaxing
A very warm greeting from Elenna on our arrival and was shown around the apartment. The apartment was very nicely furnished and decorated with great taste and was fitted with everything one needed. The gardens were well kept and the lawns manicured. Parking was not difficult and it was very peaceful and quiet.. La Herradurra was very spanish with very good beaches and eating places. We had a very nice relaxing holiday, Thank you Elenna.
Thank you Allistair and Anita for this review. It was good to meet you both. and I am pleased you enjoyed your stay at my apartment. You would be more than welcome to return any time you wish.
La Herradura is a uniquely unspoiled Spanish resort situated in the heart of the Costa Tropical between Almunecar and Nerja. Herradura means 'horseshoe' named after the beautiful crescent-shaped bay on which it is located. It has a long sand and shingle beach with many nearby sandy coves sheltered by cliffs and inlets. Many activities are available mostly associated with the seaside. They include scuba diving, wind surfing, parasailing, sailing, water skiing, horse riding, golf, hiking and mountain biking.
The village has an excellent range of restaurants and bars, good nightlife, entertainment and fiestas. There are some fascinating trips to nearby towns such as the Nerja caves, Salobrena, historical Granada and the Alhambra, the Sierra Nevadas and Alpujarras Mountains.
