We spent a long weekend at this delightful retreat in the farmlands of CT and it was just perfect. The house is very well appointed and the owner was kind enough to provide us with additional resources and tips on where to go for supplies and dining. We highly recommend this as a getaway for larger groups of up to 10, or to spend time together with family while celebrating (as we did). Beaucolic serenity abounds in this little corner of Connecticut!

We absolutely loved this house! It was perfect for three generations who stayed in the house during a family wedding. My 93 year old father was extremely comfortable in the gorgeous in-law suite, with its accessible bathroom and shower and the privacy and comfort he enjoys. The house itself is large and well laid out. We loved the gas fireplace in the kitchen and the gorgeous pool area outside. On Sunday, we were able to have our family over for a little brunch debrief post-wedding, and everything we needed was there. Very well stocked, comfortable, and lovely. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay over several days surrounding our daughter’s high school graduation. The house and property were both lovely, in excellent condition and everything well appointed. Elizabeth was a thoughtful host with great communication, and she left nice edible treats for us. Would highly recommend this rental to anyone in the Woodstock, Pomfret, Putnam area.

We enjoyed early morning birds and sunrises over the trees, exploring northeastern Connecticut, afternoon swims, and dinners around the table. Easily the best house we have rented in the USA. We have visited the US a few times from the UK and this house had everything. House was beautiful inside and spotless with a fully kitted out kitchen, lovely areas to relax and even board games for the kids. The pool and garden area is stunning, with lots of outside chairs and tables to eat and watch the sun come down. We loved going to the local farm shops to pick up food for the evenings. Elizabeth was so helpful and answered all our questions very quickly. Just perfect. 10/10.

Beautiful sprawling home with all the amenities. There were ten of us staying here (6 adults and 4 children). The home is very clean and stocked with all the amenities you can think. of. Elizabeth is a wonderful and generous hostess, We were in the pool everyday and only went into town when groceries were needed. All beds are very comfortable and inviting. Lots of places to sneak off to for reading, watching TV, etc. All set in the idealistic Connecticutt countryside. We definitely plan on coming here next year. Five Plus Stars.......Thank you again Elizabeth!!

I have stayed at quite a few rental houses, some more expensive, and this was the best experience. If we could give it six stars we would. Elizabeth was very accommodating and thoughtful. Also fast with a response when we had a question.The house and grounds were beautiful and the street out front was flat and a great walk down to the cemetery.This was also the best stocked house and some nice goodies were left for us.We will try to find another time this summer to return

We had a wonderful weeklong stay at this beautiful home with family ranging from an infant to a 70-year-old, and it was perfect for everyone. The house was spotless upon arrival, and communication with the host was smooth and easy from start to finish.The outdoor space was truly a highlight—between the saltwater pool (complete with floats), the half-court basketball area, and the yard games, there was always something fun to do for all ages. The home itself was just as impressive: spacious, tastefully decorated, and stocked with everything we needed to feel comfortable.The host went above and beyond to make sure our stay was accommodating and enjoyable. Our stay at this home during the World Cup was absolutely fantastic! We had a group of nine adults ranging in age from 30 to 65, and the property was perfect for everyone. The home offered plenty of comfortable social spaces, making it easy for us to gather together while still having room to spread out.The setting itself was peaceful, tranquil, and incredibly relaxing—the perfect place to unwind after busy days exploring the area or attending matches. The outdoor amenities were a huge highlight. We spent countless hours relaxing by the beautiful swimming pool, and the basketball court provided endless entertainment and some friendly competition. There were also lawn games that kept the "big kids" laughing for hours, and the fantastic selection of board games made for memorable evenings together.Elizabeth was an exceptional host from start to finish. She was incredibly communicative both before and during our stay, providing thoughtful recommendations for local activities, restaurants, and places to visit, which really enhanced our trip.Although the home is a little over an hour from Gillette Stadium (around 1 hour 20 minutes for us), the drive was absolutely worthwhile. It makes for an ideal base to combine a relaxing holiday with attending a Patriots game or events at the stadium.Our only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer! We'll definitely need to gather another large group together so we have an excuse to come back and enjoy this incredible home again.
