Nice hosts. The bed sagged and was sooo uncomfortable. The bathroom towels were a bit frayed and uncomfortable. They left used soap bars in the shower.
Our stay at was pure magic. The home is romantic, charming, and perfectly located—we walked into town each day, enjoying the boutiques, cafés, and harbor views. Biking to Shelter Island was a highlight, with stunning scenery and a sense of timeless beauty. Evenings back at the house were just as special, whether relaxing with wine on the porch or watching the sunset. This wasn’t just a trip—it was an unforgettable experience filled with love, serenity, and simple elegance.
The location is great as the waterfront area close to restaurants and parks is within a short walking distance. There is also a great view of the bay during sunsets. The garbage and recycling disposal process was a little confusing, could not figure out where to put mixed paper, but not a big deal. Owners were very responsive.Wish there was a "quiet time" rule for everyone staying in the home after 10:30 pm as the thin walls meant we were kept up until the wee hours of the morning due to noisy guests downstairs.
The apartment is very spacious and an excellent location. You can walk to the small village. The hosts, Paris and Clifton, were great at recommending places to eat and suggestions for exploring. It was 6 days of pleasure.
Charming, curated, and peaceful is how I would describe this property. It’s quaint, quiet, lovely and had everything I needed.
The host is very knowledgeable about the area and wish I could’ve learned more. I hope I get the chance to stay again!

Excellent!
The place was adorable, cozy, and comfortable. The apartment is in a great location and is an easy walk to town. Paris, the owner, was extremely accommodating and lovely. I loved our stay and look forward to going back.
This is a beautiful old house, with oodles of charm. The home is beautifully decorated. There is a beautiful view over the Cove and a path to the beach if you want to take a dip. The home was very clean with all the amenities. The home is a few minutes walking distance to the shops and restaurants in downtown Sag Harbor
Our host was welcoming, thanks for a great time in Sag Harbor
Lovely apartment- perfect for a stay in Sag Harbor. The view from the kitchen is outstanding, the beds comfortable and the sitting room is cozy. Walking distance to town.
As others have noted, the stairs are steep to the upstairs bedrooms but manageable with the handrails.
Would stay there again in the future.
We really enjoyed our stay. The small back deck had the most amazing view of Sag Harbor Cove and I could easily sit there all day watching the ospreys. Paris was an amazing host that greeted us on arrival and shared the house's history. The apartment had everything you needed if you wanted to cook there but we enjoyed the short walk into town.
A perfect stay in a beautiful house in a beautiful location. We adored the house, the location, Sag Harbor itself, the shops, the beaches, the restaurants, in fact everything about our experience! Paris and Clifton were charming hosts, gave us a delightful welcome and ensured we were absolutely comfortable and had everything we needed during our stay. I’d recommend Captain Pearson’s apartment as THE place to stay in Sag Harbor.
Beautiful, authentic sea captains home in storied Sag Harbor
We had a beautiful, restful time at this charming, tastefully decorated apartment within walking distance to down town Sag Harbor. The unit was both clean and comfortable. I made dinner in the lovely eat in kitchen with a view of the cove from the window. The owners were kind and responsive. Really can't ask for much more.
Wonderful stay. No better location! Great communication with host. If you are a cook you will need to bring some of your needed spices. The kitchen is well supplied with pots and pans.
It is an electric stove as an fyi. You will enjoy your stay and have fun watching the ospreys!
We found house to be in great location. Plenty of room to Park ( in street ).At one point we had 4 vehicles. It was no problem but it’s first time I was responsible to take Garbage away with us at checkout. All in All a good stay, clean and comfortable home
Although the stay was nice, and the place was exactly as indicated. I was initially surprised by the additional "damage insurance" charges and deposit. Also, although it didn't apply to me because I was traveling by motorcycle, the owner expected the guests to pack up their trash and take it to the city dump, which isn't on the property.

The damage insurance is standard to protect the owners from guests who may cause damage. The refundable damage insurance amount was returned to Roger immediately when no damage was found to the apartment. When Roger indicated he was travelling by motorcycle, my property manager took additional precautions and disposed of Roger's debris. The debris facility is 3 to 5 minutes from the house by car. Lastly, yes guests' debris are handled and disposed of themselves, given that people are still being infected by the newer strains of COVID, norovirus and RSV.
