Welcome to our home away from home! Our condo is less than an hour’s drive (32 miles) east of the San Juan International Airport. Our spacious, airy and beautiful condo has spectacular views from our balcony of where the Atlantic ocean meets the Caribbean sea. Our condo comfortably sleeps up to six guests with three bedrooms, two full baths and includes two parking spots. Renting a car is easy and is the best way to get around and explore all that the beautiful island of Puerto Rico has to offer. Making sure our guests comfort, relaxation and enjoyment are in mind at all times, our unit is equipped with all necessities needed: air-conditioning, flat screen Roku TVs with complimentary Netflix, hi-speed WiFi, linens, beach towels, beach chairs and much more.

Located in the Pena Mar Ocean Club, Fajardo, Puerto Rico, this 24/7 guarded and gated community has three swimming pools (including one with a slide), club house, fitness room, children's playground, tennis courts and basketball court. The clubhouse which houses the fitness room, main pool, hot tub, children's pool and playground are conveniently located directly next to our unit. In addition, Pena Mar is one of the few complexes on the island that has automatic 24/7 backup generators.

Fajardo, the town where Pena Mar Ocean Club is located, is known as the hub for a majority of recreational boating in Puerto Rico. Many popular fun-filled snorkeling, scuba and fishing charters are located at the Villa Marina across the street. Supermarkets, and popular chain stores and restaurants are five minutes away. Pack a cooler and hop on a 30 minute water taxi that will shuttle you to the gorgeous islets of Icacos or Palomino for the day. Want to visit the shallow turquoise beaches of Culebra or Vieques Island? Travel by ferry, island-hopper planes, commercial, or private boat charters which are all near by. Spend a lazy day beachcombing and snorkeling at Fajardo’s Seven Seas Beach or Luquillo Beach and Kiosks. Hike the trails and take a dip in the waterfalls of the El Yunque Rainforest during the day, and kayak through the La Laguna Grande Bio Bay at night to see the millions of micro-organisms called “dinoflagellates” glow in the water. Los Croabas, where most kayak tours depart from and home of many open-air seafood restaurants with ocean views is a short drive north of Pena Mar very close to the El Conquistador golfing & casino Resort.

Will do it again.

The house was perfect for our stay. The house was very well equipped. Felt secured 1000%, since is a gated community. Had the beach, restaurants and a bakery very close to us. In the future I would stay here again. Highly recommend it .

Beautiful condo in Fajardo

We enjoyed this condo so much. Was the prefect home base for all of our adventures in PR. Even before we arrived , the owners were very responsive and kept in touch with all details we needed. Arrived to clean and cold condo and family really enjoyed the area, pools, and proximity to all of our adventures. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others. Only minor complaint my daughters had was the twin mattresses were a bit hard to sleep on. All other beds, bathrooms and overall experience was great

Fantastic condo

My two teenage sons and I stayed at this condo and it was awesome! It was extremely safe which was one of my concerns as I was traveling alone with my boys. The condo was just as pictured! Super spacious and airy and the view from the balcony was heavenly! The beds were super comfy and the condo had everything you needed including beach chairs/ towels and a cooler. Very close to many great restaurants, the beach and the bio bay. Not a far drive to El Yunque where we ziplined . The condo was awesome and so glad we decided to stay there instead of a sterile hotel room for the week. It felt like home. Della was great with answering all my questions and providing recommendations. Would definitely go back!

Home away from home!

Everything was perfect! The common areas, the balcony, and the bedrooms. We had so many extra amenities like beach towels, cooler, beach chairs, etc. the beds were so comfy too!! It was an amazing place that was extremely safe :) Definitely will recommend to family and friends :)

My husband, Mark, was born in San Juan. When he turned three, his family moved to Chicago where he was raised and still resides. I (Della) was born and raised in Chicago, and together, Mark and I have young adult boy/girl twins and a cockapoo named Leo! We love to travel and spend time with family and friends and appreciate all the great things our urban city has to offer.

Why they chose this property

After vacationing in Puerto Rico several times, each time we visited, we fell more and more in love with the Island and locals. Every visit, we would try to take in more sight-seeing and relaxation as possible before we would return home to the hustle and bustle of Chicago. We always found ourselves more drawn towards the north and east end of the island where a lot of excursions were located. During our visit to PR in the spring of 2016, we decided it was time to purchase a condo! We felt very much at home at Pena Mar and loved the location and all the amenities the complex has to offer. Our dream is to one day partially retire on the Island of Puerto Rico. Until then, we hope you enjoy our beautiful condo.
