Weekend stay during dance competition
We rented this house during a dance competition that was being held at a local high school. The competition was about 15 minutes away so this location fit perfectly. Upon checking into the house, we were very surprised at the amount of steps to get to the house and that that was not listed initial listing. Be wary if you have trouble navigating stairs this will be a difficult home for you. Additionally, the bed situation with the home was listed a bit confusing. This home has three full-size beds and one queen size bed. It will comfortably sleep eight people however the owner allows additional guests (which is noted in the listing as the maximum number of people, and is very confusing). We had some sewer issues with the sink in the kitchen, backing up, and we did not realize the owners number was available in a book until the morning we were leaving to notify him, so that was not resolved. Lastly, there was a smoke alarm that was visibly missing a battery which is concerning, especially when you have kids.Overall the cleanliness of the house was outstanding. The house itself was amazing location to the lake was beautiful. Generally speaking this house is great. I just think that the listing itself could be updated to give some clarity to the stairs and the bed.
