About the host
Hosted by Jan Brosseau, Owner
We originally are from the Bay Area and purchased this property as a weekend getaway.
Why they chose this property
When we first purchased this property in 1978, the land was undeveloped and had been used for cattle grazing. We bought the property with the intent to plant a small vineyard and also as a weekend getaway from Silicon Valley. Our first planting was 16 acres of Chardonnay and one acre of Pinot Noir wine grapes.
Over the years we added more vines and varietals to include Syrah and Cabernet. We currently have 45 acres in vines and sell to about 10 winemakers throughout California. Our son manages the vineyards and has his own label, Brosseau Wines.
In 1998 we decided a Bed and Breakfast would be a nice addition to the property. We started construction in 2000, and opened in April of 2002.
