The house was fantastic!! Huge, open living space with beautiful views. The kitchen was very well stocked (even a crockpot and kitchen aid!). The hosts were very responsive and friendly! Beds were comfortable. Great stay. We will definitely return.

From the moments spent sipping coffee and bird watching from the living room, to walking the peaceful grounds, laughing in the well appointed kitchen, and kayaking on the large pond, I left this property feeling renewed and refreshed. If you are searching for peace, it is waiting here. Book it! Post Script- I highly recommend coupling a stay here with a trip to the Yerkes Observatory, it's a short picturesque 20 or so minute drive away. The night tour is brilliant.

Great views and a comfy spot

Stayed here for a few days with friends. Host was communicative and helpful. Really pretty views through the large glass windows, and plenty of outdoor space for the dogs!There's no TV in the living room, but you can easily move the TV in the adjoining bedroom over into the living room if you need to. It's a good size and met our needs.

Beautiful and relaxing

The view is gorgeous and the property looks like the photos--clean and cozy. We had a lovely time and would definitely recommend this place. The property manager, Jenna, was super responsive, helpful, accommodating, and gracious. It was a wonderful get-a-way from the hustle and bustle of Chicago. There's an excellent restaurant nearby called Paisanos, or you can easily drive to Lake Geneva. However, we spent most of our time at the house because it was so comfortable and charming. In the mornings, we loved watching the geese playing on the pond from the comfort of the living room. We highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time in this private cabin. Even though our stay occurred in the cold part of winter with snow on the ground, the cabin was warm and cozy and the beautiful windows in the main living spaces made everything feel magical.Tyler was extremely kind and responsive. The cabin itself was well-appointed, clean, and very comfortable, with unique and beautiful sculptures, exotic masks on the walls, and great furniture. This is probably our favorite VRBO experience across many different properties we've visited over the years.WIfi was fast and responsive. The kitchen was well-equipped, though we did little cooking on this trip.We are looking forward to booking a return visit sometime when the weather is warmer.

We have rented many homes over the years, and this was among our very favorites! It's exactly as described... in fact, the landscaping and pond are even more magical than words can accurately say! And so close to the city of Chicago! If you're looking for a "hidden gem" close to the city but a million miles away, you have found your spot. Check-in and support from the hosts was a breeze, and everything was seamless.
