About this property
COZY LUMBERJACK COTTAGE- Near Drummond Lake and ATV Trails. Canoe/kayak included
Walk into the Lumberjack Cottage, and the first word that comes to mind is "cozy"! Located one block from Drummond Lake & Campground, you can take advantage of the beautiful lake, beach, boat launch, playground, library, and museum.
Perhaps friends are camping nearby, and, like us, you prefer central heat/air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and being mosquito-free? After having your favorite beverage on the front porch rocking chair, you can go out to the back yard and build a fire in the fire pit. Afterward, spend your days fishing, kayaking, or canoeing on one of our many local lakes--we will provide the canoe, kayak, trailer, paddles, and lifejackets--or relax on the sandy beach. You can also head out on one of our snowmobile, ATV, ski, bike, or hiking trails. We are a block off Trail 63.
Our cozy two-bedroom cottage has one new king bed with a memory foam mattress, a queen bed with a new mattress, and a pull-out sofa with an upgraded memory foam mattress. The fully furnished kitchen features a coffee pot, a Keurig, and coffee and microwave popcorn to enjoy on your first evening and morning. The dining area can seat up to six people. You'll also find a 55-inch smart TV, a remote-controlled propane fireplace, and a work area and desk in the living room for your laptop. Each bedroom also features a smart TV and numerous USB ports. Outside, you will find a deck, a Weber Q-2000 grill, and a fire-pit with plenty of firewood.
Again, the property includes a canoe and kayak, along with a small utility trailer to transport them to Drummond Lake, Lake Owen, or one of our other nearby lakes. We provide paddles and life jackets, and ask that you provide the tie-down straps and trailer hitch.
We get frequent requests for trailer parking. One trailer and two vehicles can park on the property. There is convenient community-provided trailer parking at the Trail 63 trailhead, a block away near the Drummond Lake Campgrounds and up the street on North. Please let us know so we can keep our neighbors happy.
Guests have access to the entire home. Upon request, you may also use the garage if you would like to park your bicycles, motorcycle, or UTV/ATV out of the elements.
We are pet lovers and are pet-friendly, but we do have a one-pet limit. We may make exceptions for smaller or non-shedding breeds.
Thanks for considering staying at the Lumberjack! Please drop us a note with any questions.

About the host
Hosted by Jeff Zeilenga

We absolutely love our Drummond short-term rental home and the local community, and have a 65 year history in the area and on Lake Owen. We split our time between Lake of the Ozarks and the Chequamegon National Forest.
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood is peaceful and friendly. We love staying here when our cabin is occupied and sitting on the rocking chairs or drinking wine by the fire pit. Drummond is a great community and there is plenty to do in Bayfield, Sawyer, and Douglas County. Stop in at KDs Bear Den for her Wednesday chicken dinner or have a burger and cheese curds. Visit the library and Drummond Historical Center or
